These are worrying times not only for Nigerians but Africans as a whole. Racism is mounting now worldwide than any other time in human history. The problem now is that it is more of a mind game than physical manifestations. But the killings accompanying the escalated mind games in countries like Italy, Spain, Russia and now in China are indicators that racism is one of the greatest crimes in the world today.
It has not become an international norm to sentence a man to death in the absence of judicial proceedings still in these notorious countries where blacks are killed by security men or touts, nothing concretes are done by the respective governments.
Osamuyia was killed in Spain in the summer of 2007 and his body is still lying in the morgue in Spain. I can’t stop to imagine how very useless the government of Spain is. Extremely useless! It also amazes me the kind of zombies that called themselves leaders in Nigeria. I don’t see any reasonable government in the world abandoning her citizen in the mortuary of another country. It can only be Nigeria!
A Nigerian businessman has been reported killed in China recently. His death was described as brutal!
There has been a discussion on this at this forum on NAIRALAND.COM
This is a wake-up time for Africans and the black race worldwide. Something is going on and unless the black people unite among themselves they are now face with the threats of extinction and extermination. It is real and the earlier we take the bulls by the horns the better for our preservation and perpetuation globally.
We welcome people to our lands and our homes in Africa but we have been paid with negative coins on other continents. We must find out what is wrong and take urgent steps to address the anomaly.
If the world doesn’t listen to us, we MUST make them listen. Let’s put our houses in order and prepare safe havens for our children and children’s children. The ball is now in our court, let’s show how diligent we are!
Hello Adeola,
Thanks for sharing. I’m still confirming the source of this information and what actually happened but the story is not straight.
I do regret the sad incidence but if you were here in South East Asia to see what Nigerians do, you’D understand that even the Nigerian government will not be listened to. No matter how hard we try here to re-build our reputation, there are just some people who will never stop upholding: ‘anything for the money’, ‘Nothing go happen’ and all these kinds of mindsets. I have lived in Malaysia, Singapore, China and Thailand and the best I can say is: Chinese people have absolutely nothing against us as a people. In fact, they are the most humble, tolerant, peaceful and warm people I’ve ever experienced anywhere in the world. Chinese people give us a VIP treatment here.
If you witness how Nigerians are treated in Malaysia, Singapore and even Indonesia, you’ll know that China is the least racist country in Asia. Yes, things happen to Nigerians. some have been killed in Malaysia, we put up a legal fight for others who were suspected of murder and arrested without evidence. The Nigerian high commission in Malaysia is like an average man’s residence (in architecture and surrounding) and almost unreliable when things like this happen. Everyday you see the word “Nigeria” or “Nigerian” on the headlines, be ready for the unpleasant contents. e.g
2 Nigerian students found dead in malaysia, Iwuchukwu Amara Tochi Executed In Singapore for Heroine trafficking, etc
I advice legal Nigerians who come to Asia, to conform to a humble spirit. e.g: The cops ask you for your passport, that doesn’t mean they are racists. Just smile and show it to them. But of course a Nigerian will ask on top of his voice: “why do you want to see my passport?”, “are you calling me a criminal?” and all unnecessary ways to handle simple issues just as you’D expect of a typical Nigerian. Be careful of which Nigerians you mingle with, respect yourself and others and you’ll not have any problems with Chinese and other asians, because these people have far less brutal instincts than an average Nigerian does, And they’re most likely to fear / respect us than otherwise. As for those who come for illegal activities, I hope they someday understand that the money, efforts and time they expend to be here is enough to fetch them something far worth the while in Naija.
Be reminded that the Nigerian government is only powerful at home hence the saying: “A dog is a lion in his house”. Out here, the government cannot help you. forget about “Giant of Africa”, “Oil” and whatever reason(s) would make you believe you can get away with crime. No one knows anything glorious about Nigeria / Africa out here. Make sure your pursuits are legal, Portray good human courtesy and you’ll be well treated wherever you go regardless of where you’re from. After all, being nice to people does not mean being a coward + it goes a longer way repairing Nigeria’s reputation than holding demonstrations. Finally, I hope we can learn from others’ experiences. I deeply regret his death. RIP. God bless
Thanks again for sharing.

Police check points was not a common sights on Nigeria Highways until 1970s when check points where mounted to curb the activities of raising crime rates in the country.Today, these check points have been turned to violation of human rights and exhortation points making motorist especially commercial vehicles targets, those who refuse to part with money are threatened with arrest or detention while in some case lives are lost in the process, as with this case: “ in 1981, Dele Udoh, a popular Nigerian athlete based in the United States who was home to represent Nigeria at a tournament, was shot dead in policemen in Lagos, following an argument at a police check point”.

I DON’T DISAGREE WITH JOHN TOTALLY BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT A NIGERIAN SHOULD BE CLUBBED TO DEATH FOR URINATING IN THE PLACE TERMED AS “PUBLIC PLACE”
I FEEL THAT THE CHINESE GOVERNENT HAS LAWS THAT PUNISHES VIOLATORS OF SUCH LAWS. I BELIEVE HE WOULD HAVE BEEN PROSECUTED INSTEAD OF BEING CLUBBED TO DEATH OR TAKING JUSTICE INTO THEIR HANDS.
THE ONLY REEMBERED THAT THEY IS A LAW THAT SAYS COMPENSATIONS CAN BE PAID TO THE FAMILY OF THE DEACEASED AND WHAT THEY COULD PAY WAS JUST 2.2 MILLION NAIRA TO THE FAMILY.
LET’S NOT FORGET THAT THE BOY IN QUESTION WAS A SPARE PARTS DEALER. IS THAT A COMPENSATION OR THE WORTH OF HIS GOOD OR INVESTMENTS IN CHINA. WE KNOW A LOT OF NIGERIANS ARE INTO UNSPEAKABLE THINGS OUT THERE BECAUSE OF THE “BENJAMINS” (MONEY) BUT I TELL YOU THAT THEY ARE A LOT OF THEM THAT ARE INTO LEGITIMATE BUSINESS OUT THERE, LIKE THE ONE THAT WAS KILLED.
PLEASE LET’S BE OBJECTIVE….RACISM IS STILL EMINENT IN THE WORLD.

Nigerian Govt should immediately summon the nigerian high commissioner in china to come back for questioning at the floor of the house. He has to give account of what transpired in china and what measure he took to prevent the killing and why nigerian govt was not informed before it citizens were hanged, if he fails to satisfy the house he should be recalled and nigeria should review its diplomatic relation with china. This will be an eye opener to nigerian govt which will expose the attitude of embassy officials towards nigerian citizens abroad especially asian countries ie india

I luv Nigeria, but leave that corrupt shit in Nigeria. These asians dont give a shit about you. And the things u get away with in other countries will end you up 6ft deep in a place like China. Just keeping it real. Presently Chinese dont hold anything personal against Nigerians yet, for generally they are for themselves, but with all that illegal activity, it will destroy the image of all blacks who go to China.

I’m very disappointed with you my stupid friend KAMALA. Your little post on this site is very inhuman, and shows the extent of callousness in you. I will advise you to watch your statements because wiping out Nigerians in Asia is impossible, and remember there are lots of Asians in Nigeria even in our villages. Giving you an answer on your statement that nigerians are monkeys, Asians are more like monkeys, they are yellow monkeys.

Most Nigerians around the world are being held in contempt in most social issues in those countries. The problem is in us Nigerians, not the outside world or the countries mentioned. Nigerian government should train Nigerians to become modern civil citizens.
