Nigeria Sacks It’s Central Bank Governor

By Adeola Aderounmu

Reports from this morning stated that the ruler of Nigeria Mr. Jonathan has sacked the governnor of the country’s foremost Bank Mr Sanusi Lamido.

Many of us saw this coming. The ruler has told Mr. Sanusi to resign a few weeks ago after Mr. Sanusi exposed grand corruption in the administration.

Under the Watch of Mr. Jonathan and Mrs. Ngozi Iweala the Finance Minister, several billions of dollars have disappeared from the Nigerian Treasury. No one knows where the Money has gone to.

What is obvious is that Mr. Jonathan and Mrs. Iweala have stolen Nigeria’s money. This is not the first time these duo have stolen from Nigeria but the magnitude continues to increase by the day especially as Mr. Jonathan is siphoning funds to Campaign for the 2015 elections.

This week Mr. Jonathan has been visiting churches and Palaces across Nigeria to seek support of religious rulers and traditional rulers in Nigeria. When such visits are made, a lot of Money is usually spend on the trips and much more is given to the religious and traditional rulers. So, in essence people know why the government of Jonathan is stealing more than ever before.

Mr. Sanusi has been suspended but those who know Nigeria know that he has been sacked anyway. Sanusi himself is not a Saint. By the time the government of Jonathan is finished with him, they will publish (or not) all the financial recklessness that he has been involved with.

There are no Saints in Nigeria. I told a friend that the only positive thing with Sanusi’s revelation of the rot in this administration is that Sanusi himself is part of the rot.

Some fools will wait to be out of office or out of favour before they start to reveal the rot that they lived with and were part of. The government of Jonathan Believes that Sanusi is running the agenda of the opposition and that is quite possible. But nothing he said though is false. The truth remains that Goodluck Jonathan, Okonjo-Iweala and all the crooks in NNPC are looting Nigeria blind.

In Nigeria the government can be as criminal as it wants because the police and the judiciary are essentially useless. I have been writing this for years and I am still going to write about it in my next blog entry.

If the police are useful, they should have invited Mr. Jonathan and Mrs. Iweala for questioning about the missing Money.

If the arms of government in Nigeria are not occupied by criminals, then Mr. Jonathan would have been impeached.

Nigeria is running one of the most useless form of government on Earth and it is Amazing how the people defend these criminals because of what they want to get from them or because of tribalism or some sort of disorderliness in their thinking faculties that make it possible to accept criminals in governance and public service.

The Sanusi-Iweala-Jonathan corruption saga will definitely open a new chapter in the annals of Nigeria. I think more than ever Before Sanusi will expose the lootings that have taken Place during his tenure. This guy will fight back and the criminal government will continue to nail him.

He who comes to judgement….

I Made You The President, Obasanjo Tells Jonathan (with regrets!)

By Adeola Aderounmu

Obasanjo made it clear in his letter that he made Goodluck Jonathan the president of Nigeria. According to Obasanjo, he said he did the same when he made Yar Adua and Shagari presidents in 2007 and 1983 respectively.

What Obasanjo implied here is that he acted in the interest of Nigeria on these 3 occasions when he had the opportunities to pass power to other people.

It is true I actually promised not to attack Obasanjo but it is hard to let go and forget our history.

In 1979 Obsanjo rigged the elections in favour of the NPN and Shagari, an incompetent crook from Northern Nigeria was made the civilian president of Nigeria.

What followed the handover was massive corruption among the civilians and severe hardship on Nigerians. Nigerians have not recovered from the grave error that Obasanjo made. The coups and counter coups that followed Obasanjo’s errors destroyed the essence of our lives in Nigeria.

Obasanjo had always done all in his power to prevent intelligent people from ruling Nigeria. Awolowo was blocked several times and 1979 was not an exception.

In 2007 Yar Adua was sponsored by Obasanjo and they used Ibori’s stolen wealth from Delta State to propagate the elections. Today Ibori is in a UK prison and Yar Adua died after a protracted illness.

In 2011 Obasanjo sponsored a drunkard named Goodluck Jonathan to become the president of Nigeria. Today Obasanjo is regretting that sponsorship.

Obasanjo felt betrayed that Jonathan now sees him as the enemy of his administration. On page 14 of the letter he wrote to Jonathan, Obasanjo must have been closed to tears.

Three times, Obasanjo made decisions or supported candidates that ruined Nigeria. Obasanjo himself ruled Nigeria as a military dictator and alnost succeeded with his third term ambition as a civilian president. His “boy-boy”-Nuhu Ribadu was used to chase everybody around town under the disguise of the EFCC.

Obasanjo’s letter is important but we will never forget the roles he played in the promotion of corruption and how his name has been mentioned in a number of corruption files.

What Obasanjo must also not forget is that mild and severe corruptions are both corruptions anyway and in no small ways, these acts have promoted poverty and penury in Nigeria.

Olusegun Obasanjo’s letter to Goodluck Jonathan

By Adeola Aderounmu

Many Nigerians are reacting to the letter that Olusegun Obasanjo wrote to Goodluck Jonathan. I have downloaded and read the letter. I will write my own reactions. This is one moment of Nigeria’s history that will not pass me by.

Whilst I have written before that Olusegun Obasanjo himself is a disgrace to Nigeria (a statement I still stand on today) because of the ills that he contributed to Nigeria and because of his parts in the destruction of Nigeria (whether you believe or not is not my headache), I will, in my forthcoming reactions try to leave Obasanjo’s character out of my reactions.

I will try my best not to attack the messenger but to analyse his messages.

They will appear here and above this entry.

Aminu Tambuwal, You Are In The Same Boat As Goodluck Jonathan, You are All Corrupt!

Adeola Aderounmu

One of the major headlines in corrupt Nigeria this week, is Aminu Tambuwal alleging that the body language of Goodluck Jonathan speaks volume of corruption.

He cited several examples including: oil subsidy scandals, Security and Exchange Commission scandals, the Pension scam as well as the Oduaghate, to buttress his allegation of Jonathan’s perceived paying of lip service to the war against graft (according to the punch newspaper).

But Aminu is in the same boat with Jonathan, they run together-a government that is probably the most in the world. Aminu Tambuwal and his colleagues in the senate and house of reps are taking home fat pays that they cannot justify. They are looting systematically (only those who are caught or out of favour are painted in bad lights).

But we know that they are all corrupt and looters.

In how many ways do we want to tell them that they run the most expensive government in the world? How many times are we going to tell them that Nigerian politics is pure social madness devoid of manifesto and ideology.

In how many ways do we need to say that a government that embrace and perform corruption at the scale and magnitude that we see in Nigeria is a worthless one?

How can we explain our pain about the spread of poverty and extreme penury based on the rottenness of the Nigerian government?

The only positive thing here is that he is telling the truth. But what is missing is that rather than say Jonathan or the presidency, he needs to use the term “we”. He is in government and cannot separate the corruption and laziness in his domain from the corruption and laziness in the Nigerian presidency.

Boko Haram Continues to Ridicule The Nigerian Army

AdeolaAderounmu

On October 12 2013 the Nigerian Army through one Commander of the 3 Division Special Operation Battalion Damaturu, Colonel A.O. Abdullahi said that his command will not give Boko Haram the opportunity of invading the state again.

But on the 20th of October 2013 Boko Haram murdered 19 people in Borno. They dressed-up as officers of the Nigerian Army and murdered their victims.

This is not the first, second or third time Boko Haram has done some killings just to ridicule the Nigerian government.

I can’t remember exactly when but even Mr. Goodluck Jonathan boasted once that Boko Haram will be gone in a certain month of “June”. I think it was after that they Boko Haram bombed the UN office in Abuja.

It was after his boasting that the Jonathan government started marking events amidst tight security or low key because of the fear of attacks of Boko Haram.

It does not matter what the Nigerian military has done or is doing, what is constant is that Boko Haram rules in Borno and they do what they like and how they like.

I don’t think there are schools in operation anymore in Borno. Boko Haram is ensuring that schools are burnt or students and teachers are killed.

Borno state is both a dilemma, and a source of national embarassment to the Nigerian government. Under a state of emergency, Boko Haram remains potent and deadly.

Some police officers from Eastern Nigeria are currently protesting deployment to Borno State. That is the height of ridicule that Boko Haram has brought the Nigerian Army and the clueless Jonathan administration.

Where does this madness lead Nigeria to?
