Here is the Family statement from Yinka Craig dot org
It is with a heavy heart, and joy at God’s perfect will that I announce the passing on to Glory of my father, teacher, mentor and friend, Mr. Olayinka Babasanya Craig, who went to be with the Lord at 6.00am this morning at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
He was a pioneer radio and television broadcaster, sports journalist extraordinaire and a national icon.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Kehinde Craig, his sons, Mr. Olayinka Craig and Dr. Olamide Craig and his “one and only” Miss Temilola Craig.
Dr. David Olamide Craig
for and on behalf of the family
I am really sorry about this sad news. Even though I have not seen you for about 10 years, My heart is with you and the rest of the family at this moment. May the LORD strengthen you and everyone at this time and always.
May the gentle soul of Yinka Craig rest in peace. He will be missed.

He will be greatly missed by all Nigerians
Yinka fought a courageous battle. With Christ, he won. Bye for now till we meet where there is no pain no tears and no sorrow. I pray that God will comfort those you left behind in their hour of need. In Jesus Name.
Oda bo no
Mr Yinka Craig was(and it is with pain that tense is used…) a remarkable journalist whose versatility was never in doubt…from his days in sports reporting until his easy, yet ever so comfortable presenting of NTA’s ‘AM EXPRESS’..he showed an ease in front of the cameras that was simply masterful. He truly gave meaning to the phrase ‘veteran broadcaster’…and he will be sorely missed…..
Mr Yinka Craig was such a talented and amiable person. Death is inevitable. God gives and he take away. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace and may God Almighty forgive all his sins and honour him eternal rest. Sun re o.
eternal repose God grant your soul…
I was deeply shocked when i heard of Yinka Craig’s death! He was Nigeria’s pride! I sympatize with the Craig family!

Sorrow surrounds my soul as I lost a big brother of the pen who taught me a lot in the journalism profession.
To Yinka’s family, I AM YOUR SISTER IN SORROW.

I enjoyed watching AM Express, especially when Uncle Yinka co-hosted with the likes of Miriam Anozoda and Catherine Edoha. Nigerians will dearly miss his humor and love for people. May his gentle soul rest in the bossom of the Lord. Amen.
As a Yoruba Adage says “Eja Nla Lo, Odo pa lo lo……The Big Fish is gone the River is still”
Words are not enough to express how painful your demise is.
You made NTA AM Express my favourite. you gave it all the meaning it has to me.
Never met you personally but met with your works!
May you continue to rest in the bossom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I love you so much! Even in death!!!

INDEED, YOU WERE FORTHRIGHT IN JOURNALISM, LITTLE WONDER YOU ARE FAVOURITE OF MANY ANONYMOUS NIGERIANS.REST IN PEACE.
Yinka Craig – the one I loved to watch on the TV in Nigeria is gone! That hardworking, handsome fluent soft-spoken journalist-broadcaster/ analyst is no more with us. He was reputed to be kind-hearted and one who could not hurt an ant, even when he was stung by the ant. He forgave all! My advice to all the loved ones and admirers of Yinka is that we should emulate his good attributes and be godly in all areas of our lives. Let’s be closer to the Lord Jesus – the great Comforter and Source of joy and life! May the Lord direct, protect, control and richly bless you all in Jesus’ name! AMEN!
Just stumbled on this tonoght. I pray that the good Lord will comfort the family left behind. It is with joy in my heart hat I realise he must have known the Lord. so we cannot mourn like we have no hope!
