Nigerians: We are Captives in our own country..!

By Adeola Aderounmu

Nigeria is trying to shake off the “terror-label” tagged by the US but if you ask me we have more serious issues to take care of on our home front.

I have actually written a piece (yet unposted) to challenge Barrack Obama or whoever gave the tag to Nigeria. I will not dispute the fact that Northern Nigeria is a fertile ground to would-be terrorists but the US and UK are more terrorist countries than Nigeria. I’ll come back to that in another post.

But has anyone been following the events in Nigeria and how a small group of persons have enslaved the rest of us. Mr. Yar Adua is not available and no one else will be allowed to become president.

Invariably we are being told that it is Yar Adua (dead, half dead or alive) OR no one else until 2011. So Nigeria will be without a ruler, leader, dictator or whatever until 2011 or whenever the next election will be. Goodluck Jonathan can be there as a figure head for all this clique of people care!

There was a demonstration last week demanding the end of this nonsense rulership of incapable Yar Adua but if you ask me I think the situation demands a daily and sustained demonstration until the objective of rally is achieved-that is the supremacy of the constitution which has been thrown away for over 53 days.

In one of my post I have described the Nigeria Judiciary as a citadel of corrupt minds. Yes it is! Imagine the judgements and pronouncements that were made this week. The Nigerian Judiciary is a rotten and useless branch of government. One judge wakes up one morning and collects millions of dollars as bribe and tells us afterwards that there is no power vacuum in Nigeria. Only a fool can say that!

My frustration for Nigeria has increased and my sadness knows no bound. When people come to my blog and tell me bullshit about what I write about Nigeria, I get more upset even as I approved their comments. Only a fool or an idiot will be happy with the sad situation in Nigeria. Another fool will expect the rest of us to point out the good things in Nigeria while neglecting the fundamental issues that affect more than 70m Nigerians.

Mr. Aondoakaa that shameless Attorney General is doing all he can to make a fool out of the rest of us. This won’t last long. People like him should remember war criminals. They always pay for their crimes. One day those who are committing these despicable acts will be brought to judgement. The arm of the law is surely short in Nigeria but still I know it will catch up with his likes.

Sometimes I don’t find the words to express my anger and frustrations. We have a sick ruler. He is incapable. Our lives are in coma the same time as his. What is wrong to allow the constitution to takes its course. Goodluck Jonathan is a vice president. He should be allowed to take over so that governance can continue.

However these greedy people who have captured the rest of us as slaves will not allow our lives to go on. They will keep us waiting as they continue to steal, loot and destroy what is left of the weak foundations of our sick democracy.

I am getting tired. When will madness stops in Nigeria seat of power?

Forgive me when I say Nigerian Politicians are mad

Adeola Aderounmu

There is a story making rounds that Yar Adua (Nigeria’s illegal president since 2007) will sign certain papers relating to budget and handing over to his deputy.

There are strong indications that the man cannot talk, or move. Yet we are now being told that he will sign forms or papers. Is it possible for sane people to frame up this kind of scenario? Mad is the word!

I have always used strong derogatory terms to describe Nigerian politicians and this is one of the reasons. Now that I find joy using these terms but I am completely expressing my frustrations. Yes I am frustrated as I don’t understand why the wealthiest Nation on earth has become home to some of the world’s poorest people.

I am frustrated as I see poverty, penury and extreme corruption. Check out the latest Ibori case. This guy was an ex-convict, national and international and he became a governor. He looted and he got free! I will never never understand that so yes I am frustrated.

Nigerian politicians and evil rulers kind of think that the rest of us are stupid. But we are not.

They should stop playing games and stop fooling around.

The lazy lawamkers know what to do but what they will eat has rubbed them of their senses.

There are provisions in the constitutions that should have been invoked to transfer power to Mr. Jonathan but they have refused to do that.

They are going round in circles and wasting time as more than 90m Nigerians (more than 50% of the 140m population) continue to face hopelessness and uncertainty. No fuel, no light, no security, nothing good!

There was even a rumour that some politicians and Turai Yar Adua are planning to sponsor a coup.

The world will be swift to condemn it and that may be the final catalytic arrangement that will break Nigeria into pieces.

I will ask again like I’ve done before: are there people in the Nigerian political arena who still have their senses intact?

The time is now for them to take the country one step forward. Jonathan should be the new president as we look ahead to the future that will bring fair and credible elections. No need for the useless signature acting, it’s all rubbish and madness.

I hope Nigerians will not spend the next 50 years in poverty as I look forward to the elimination of poverty and penury among my brothers and sisters.

Nigeria, wake up!

Riliwan Lukman-Another useless Minister

By Adeola Aderounmu

Riliwan Lukman is Nigeria’s Minister for Petroleum Resources. Nigeria has a persistent problem with Petroleum products despite the fact that we are one the largest producers of crude oil in the world.

I don’t remember the last yuletide or Christmas in Nigeria without Fuel Crises.

Riliwan Lukman has been in and out of government for decades and it was a big shock that Yar Adua appointed him as Petroleum Resources Minister in his illegal government. That the useless Senate even ratified his appointment points to the stupidity in governance in Nigeria. Empty skulls all!

Nigerians are suffering under a persistent fuel crisis even this Christmas/ New year. But you know what? Riliwan Lukman is on vacation in Austria.

Goodluck Jonathan wanted to have him in a meeting. According to the Nigerian Guardian Newspaper, Jonathan had at the meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday directed Lukman along with two ministers of State, Mr. Odein Ajumogobia (Petroleum) and Mr. Remi Babalola (Finance), to suspend their Christmas and New Year vacations to enable them all stay within Abuja and find a solution to the fuel crisis in the country.

Mr. Lukman jetted out. The thing is the man is expired and he is not the solution to the problem even if he attend 1 thousand meetings. It is just surprising that he confirmed my fears that many Nigerian Ministers and politicians are actually crazy.

Nigeria presently has no legal head or president. Mr Yar Adua, the illegally installed ruler, is lying unconscious in Saudi Arabia for the past 1 month. Those who are the custodians of the constitution are committing treasonable felony as they have subverted the contents therein to their selfish gains. Nigeria is in coma and remain headless as 2009 winds up.

So Mr Lukman has no one to account to, Jonathan can go to hell. Who cares? I mean this is a man that has been in successive failed governments, and he is one of those who have mismanaged our wealth. He came into this fake government with no new ideas, so I am not surprise that while fuel is dried up in Nigeria, he preferred a holiday in Europe. Another white Christmas for another useless Nigerian Minister.

I can’t wait for the Nigerian revolution.

Yar Adua is probably not coming back…Can we move on Please?

Adeola Aderounmu

Gone for more than 3 weeks! I don’t think Yar Adua is coming back to Aso rock, a place he illegally and forcefully inherited. If we had built a reputable hospital in Nigeria in all the 10 years he wasted as a top man perhaps the story would have been different. 8 years as a governor and 2 years as a fake president, all wasted just like that!

Life and Power remain transient..!

If we had a well equipped hospital in Nigeria, he would have been in our domain and we would have known firsthand what is going on with him. But now he is hidden, probably enclosed and we have no clue what is going on.

Based on the secrecy of his condition and with no official information from anywhere, it is better to assume that he is not coming back.

Nigerian Politicians based on their wickedness, selfishness and evil ways have refused to follow the constitution. This is so not happening in the year 2009 going to 2010. Where are these people from? In what Age are they living in? I’m talking about Nigerian Politicians, who have become the most ridiculous people on earth.

Is there a Chief Justice of the Federation somewhere? Is there any functional National Assembly in Nigeria? Is there any constitution at all to behold?

Or are we now being ruled by the ex-convict who became a governor in Delta State? Or his lawyer, the AG who is ridiculously shameless? Who is in charge of this prevalent nonsense?

Can we move on please?

Goodluck Jonathan was the VP imposed on us. Please give him to us with all his imperfections and stains. We will take it, even if to remove this ridicule from our existence for a short period-until 2011.

I have written elsewhere that Jonathan should become the president of Nigeria but that we should NEVER AGAIN in our lives allow the kind of process that gave rise to him and Yar Adua. Our votes were not counted in the most evil selection process in Nigeria’s history.

It’s time to move on. The truth will soon be known to all and by that time the shame of Nigerian politicians would have magnified. They are liars now, what will they be when the whole situation-the bigger picture is revealed?

The lazy lawmakers should stop looting and stealing. For once let them do something right. Move this country forward, at least by one step, even if it’s an ant-step.

Please and please, stop this national shame and nonsense.

Let Yar Adua be! Even if a miracle brings him back, he is definitely not going to be fit for that game of squash let alone head a village meeting. He would need rest.

We are talking about 150m other people being held stagnant. Fuel scarcity, insecurity, unemployment, school problems and so on, these things are getting worse. Workers are being laid off, the economy is not improving and for 3 weeks we have no direction forward. Does this mean that when Yar Adua was there he was just a figure-head or what? Are there no functions for the number 1 top post in Nigeria? Because it is always mischievously acquired or why?

I can’t shout more than this please…
The time to move on is here.

Enough of this rubbish please.

Why Goodluck Jonathan May Not Become Nigeria’s President

by Adeola Aderounmu

One thing that people should know about Nigeria is that Nigeria’s form of democracy is rubbish. The various governments that we have had over the years are non-democratic. It’s been several years of military dictatorship and civilian autocracy.

In 1999, 2003 and 2007 politicians appointed themselves into different positions using first in 1999 the military might of the military-backed PDP. There was a settlement then that brought Obasanjo to power. In 2003, he was re-appointed-only this time through his own control of the PDP and the useless electoral commission headed by one puppet and liar called Maurice Iwu.

In 2007 Obasanjo tried to make himself a life president by gunning for a third term in office but he failed in that attempt. His VP was also ambitious but both of them are stinkingly corrupt and big for nothing individuals. They ruined Nigeria and they brought government to a stand still through their personal ego fight.

Obasanjo handpicked Yar Adua and Goodluck Jonathan. Yar Adua in 2009 has shown manifestation of a disease that has plagued him since he was a governor. Any attempt for him to govern beyond this moment will aggravate his situation and possibly end his life. Summarily Yar Adua is not fit to rule over Nigeria. He has done so illegally for 2 years. Two worst years in the history of any government in Nigeria.

Jonathan is avoiding the responsibilities despite tha fact that it is clear that his master is out of town, almost permanently. Nigerians must call on Obasanjo to tell us the type of agreement that Jonathan signed when he was chosen (not elected) to be the VP. It appears that our useless politicians are keen on keeping to agreement while throwing away the constitution of the FR-of Nigeria that stipulates that the VP should take over when the president is away or dead.

This written document or okija-styled oath may be the reason why Jonathan may not become the president of Nigeria. It is possible that those cabal are asking him to resign on this basis. Jonathan is too quiet. He is however not stupid. But the fact that he is quiet and avoiding presidential obligations means that he has a skeleton in his cupboards.

Some people have speculated that his resignation will become a reality if Yar Adua dies. No one is sure what is going to happen. I am not sure as well.

But it pains me to my marrow that we may have on our hands papers, agreements or oaths that overrides our consitution. This is Nigerian politics. It is the most useless form of government on planet earth.

The people don’t count. They can go to hell for all the politicians care. How long can the people be left out of governance. For how long shall be look and do nothing about our lives, about the future of our children.
