War and Genocide in Northern Nigeria

Adeola Aderounmu

Terrorists, who are most likely members of the Boko Haram group, have attacked Christian worshippers in Kano.

The attack took place at BUK, Bayero University in Kano.

It was a remarkable attack. The terrorist bombed the venue of the campus worship and they pursued and shot the worshippers.

The message is clear, kill the Christians.

This is a hallmark for genocidal attacks. The terrorists have not hidden their hatred for Christians.

Terrorists are on top of the situation in Nigeria. They operate whenever they like and they kill innocent people just as they like.

A few days ago, Media houses were attacked and journalists were killed.

The weak and lazy government headed by Jonathan has never preempted or prevented any terror attack. The terrorists appear to be more intelligent and smarter that the impotent Nigerian police + army.

Just about 24 hours ago, a military chief in Nigeria said the PDP owns Boko Haram. In a way he confirmed the security reports have was leaked many months ago. Such a statement from an adviser to the president carries weight and fact. He knows what he was saying.Just that he should be fired too!

Northern PDP owns Boko Haram and Boko Haram is a Northern Nigeria agenda to seize power again by force or coercion.

Jonathan will go down in history as the most useless president to rule Nigeria. Ordinary Nigerians are killed anyhow and at will, and the end is not in sight.

Jonathan boasted that his weak government is on top of the situation but he lied. He said Boko Haram will be gone by June and Boko Haram has planned massive bombing of (Northern) Nigeria just to counter Jonathan’s empty threat.

This means that Boko Haram’s comments and plans are more reliable and powerful than Jonathan’s.

It is always a sad thing to see or hear just how innocent people are sent to their graves, too early.

Nigeria is already soaked in poverty and citizenry impoverishment. On top of all the woes and stupidity in Nigeria, terrorism has come to stay as the most unwanted bonus that Nigerians are saddled with.

If there is one country in the world where the people ought to revolt and overthrow the government, that country is Nigeria.

I am in shock that the people are surviving, suffering, praying and hoping. Nigeria is a completely hopeless country. Hope will come when the people take their destinies in their hands.

BOKO “RAMS”-BLOODY EASTER IN KADUNA AND JOS

By Adeola Aderounmu

Everyone knew that Boko Haram the useless terrorist group from Northern Nigeria was going to kill Christians this easter and they did.

The warnings were clear and obvious to everyone except the lame Nigerian security service and the useless drunkard of a president, Mr Jonathan.

How can the signs be so clear and glaring yet the terrorists’ plans were executed?

One of my friends argued on Facebook that Boko Haram is succeeding because the Nigerian government knows the perpetrators and can’t do anything about them. They are parts of the Nigerian untouchables.

Some people argue that Jonathan and Sambo are Boko Harams’ members. What have I not heard about Boko Haram?
What is certain is that the Nigerian government is useless and stupid.Boko HARAM struck in Kaduna and Jos.

Jonathan said that Boko Haram will be stopped in June while one of the security chiefs said that Boko Haram is under control. Then they struck!

There are now reports that Boko Haram will bomb Nigeria massively in June 2012. That is the month that Jonathan said Boko Haram will be history.

We will see who is ruling Nigeria come June 2012, Jonathan or Boko Haram.

But whoever is the sponsor or the brain behind Boko Haram and the “rams” who are used as members are fools, idiots and cowards.

If they are bold enough, they should stop bombing churches and places where innocent people are doing their activities and worship. If Boko Haram is man enough, it should take its fight to ASO ROCK, that is the citadel of mismanagement, similar stupidity as Boko Haram and the headquarters of global corruption.

Stop killing innocent people whoever you are “Boko rams”. Take your fight to the government that you want to overthrow. Stupid idiots!

The Joseph Kony Campaign

By Adeola Aderounmu

I have watched the campaign video aimed at capturing Joseph Kony before the end of 2012. It is interesting and captivating.

Since it is generally accepted that Joseph Kony is not fighting for any cause or that he has no new ambitions rather than holding firm to his “powers” then many questions should be raised regarding the sustainability of the Resistance Army.

What is the source of income for Joseph Kony and his army (including army of children)? Which countries owned the arms and ammunitions that Kony has used in the past and that he is using now?

If it is true that Kony has no ambitions then which countries or organizations are benefitting from his existence/ existence of his rebel group?

Does the Uganda government want Kony out of the way? Why is it impossible to arrest him?

[It brings to mind the question of Boko Haram in Northern Nigeria. Of course the lazy Jonathan government wants Boko Haram out of the way (or not some may argue) but what genuine efforts have been done
in Nigeria to improve the security situation?]

Kony remains a free man because that is what the “world” wants him to be. Otherwise I don’t see why he had been allowed to kidnap children for several years yet remain unspoken about. For all the murders he has committed, it should not require a campaign to hunt him.

It is hard to believe that Kony has no agenda. It is also difficult to live with the reality that Kony’s weapons are probably coming from the same governments that the campaign group depends upon for his capture.

My greater interest and worries are hinged on the unnecessary and senseless wars in Africa-how they have slowed the progress of Africa. My worries include just how easy it is for a group in Africa to become willing tools in the hands of the imperialists or just acting out some independent but likewise evil agenda. Countries like Ivory Coast and (of recent Senegal) come to mind.
I am slightly worried that the campaign did not originate from Ugandans at home or in Diaspora. Perhaps there are Ugandans who have cried about these evils and their cries have fallen on deaf ears.

In that case why the sudden Kony fever based on the fresh campaign? The world is now talking about Kony and it is this fame that is aimed at ending his reign.

For the sake of justice I would like to see a man like Joseph Kony arrested and brought to trial. It would be interesting to hear his arguments about his crimes against children and their families.

The War in Northern Nigeria: Boko Haram detonates 20 Bombs in Kano

Adeola Aderounmu

No doubt, Boko Haram is at war with the Jonathan led corrupt government in Abuja.

Bomb blasts rock Kano, Northern Nigeria and the situation is best expressed as war in Kano. Among the targets were military and paramilitary outfits. The SSS office was targeted as well as the offices of the Migration and Police Stations.

Altogether about 20 bombs exploded at different locations. A reporter for the independent Channels Television was killed. Eneche Akogwu was executed by the Boko Haram militants right in front of the state house in Kano.
Several people have been wounded and obviously several people have been killed as well.

Journalist assasinated in the line of duty

There are no exact figures of the number of dead persons but corpses were removed from many of the sites of the bomb blasts and an immigration office lie lifeless in front of the immigration office in Kano.

More than 220 people died.

Many more Nigerians have called for the convocation of a national conference to chart the way forward for Nigeria but like in the past those who are in charge of Nigeria today are not interested.

It is even worse with the foolish ruler that presides over Nigeria today. His name is Goodluck Jonathan. This man sent the Nigerian army into Lagos to kill and maim protesters who are against his style of governance and demanding changes.

But in northern Nigeria Boko Haram continue to enjoy freedom of movement and license to kill. Mr. Jonathan declared states of emergency in some states in the North but with no blue prints or instructions on how to discharge the orders. Hence Boko Haram and their sponsors continue to remains steps ahead of the Nigerian security agencies.

Boko Haram is so bold it dares to attack the police stations, immigration offices and the offices of the lame state security agancies. You can never ask for a greater insult on the security outfit of a country. Nigeria is weak and Jonathan is foolish.

How can a ruler send battalions of armies to Lagos where harmless protesters are converging to express their minds and the same ruler cannot do anything tangible about the war in Northern Nigeria? Even if there are military presences in Northern Nigeria, it is almost useless or worthless because Boko Haram continues to keep the war running, unhindered. They blow up whatever they want and they almost can assassinate whoever they want. Where is the protection from the Jonathan government?

What is going on in Northern Nigeria is not less than a war. 20 bombs at once is a mega-war situation. Boko Haram is at war with the government of Mr. Jonathan. It is unfortunate that the terrorist group cannot confront Jonathan and his stealing executives but instead have been killing innocent people.

Even after every major attack, Boko Haram continues to carry out series of other attacks and arsons. After the Kano bombs, churches and other places have been attacked in the North. So it is a continuous war.

Nigeria is definitely on the brink and soon the bubble will burst!

Then it might be too late to institute the changes we have called for many times. Let us sit down to discuss how to partition this country so that each region can have control over its resources and regional development.

History will not forgive the present captors of Nigeria if they refuse to give way to constitutional changes that will stop the war in Northern Nigeria. The coming rage may be too fierce to stop by the zombies posted to Lagos.

The Christmas Day Bomb Blasts: The Killing of Mr. Innocent and his five children

By Adeola Aderounmu

Some broken hearts will never mend.

On Christmas day of 2011 Islamic militants attacked a sanctuary in Abuja. There were reports that at least 4 other churches were attacked.

When the bombs exploded at St. Theresa Catholic Church at least 40 people died immediately while several others were injured. A safe haven became a crime scene.

Among the dead were Mr. Innocent, his 3 sons and 2 daughters.

Innocent was from Umukabia in Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State. His wife did not die in the blast. She left the church earlier.

According to Okechukwu Okafor, a cousin of Innocent who spoke to me from his base in Germany, Innocent’s wife left the church earlier so she could prepare the food that the entire family will eat later that day.

They never did.

There would be no more family meals for Innocent and his household.

In his village, lips remained sealed as no one has told his mother about the tragic deaths in the family.

Who is going to let the cat out of the bag?

This man will be buried in his village. What are they going to tell his mum? What does she know about Boko Haram?

Who will be there to console Innocent’s mum? She has lost her dependable son.

Who is going to console Innocent’s wife? Her husband and five children are dead.

This is the greatest tragedy that can befall a woman, to lose her husband and her children in one swoop.

She will never understand why her loved ones were taken away from her forever. They paid the ultimate price. It’s a sad situation.

Before the dusts finally settle it will be a great service to country and humanity if the government of the day shows some compassion by visiting the families of the victims killed and the survivors of the senseless bomb blasts.

Maybe the Imo State Governor or the Local Government Chairman in Mbano should step forward to console the bereaved?

Families of victims and survivors have homes and they should be offered the best of psychological and moral supports by the church and the government.

It is hypocritical for Mr. Jonathan to shed tears at the crime scene 7 days after. What was he doing 5 minutes after the blast took place?

It is worrying that no one has been arrested or prosecuted for all the acts of murders that have been perpetrated in the name of terrorism in Nigeria.

It is sad that simple techniques like Google maps and 3G technologies are not available to the Nigerian Security Operatives. That is probably one of the several reasons why terrorists in Nigeria can make phone calls to journalists and the police and still keep hold of their residential areas.

It’s an additional scandal on this lukewarm presidency.

It appears that Mr. Jonathan’s biggest task before the fuel subsidy scandal was how to keep Nigeria one. He lost the plot and presents a classical example of a scalar quantity.

Each day that passes under Mr. Jonathan gives strength to the argument to restructure Nigeria as a true federation. The recent threat from Boko Haram that all southerners should quit the northern region calls for an outright division of the country.

These two options cannot be ignored forever. Nigeria is now too fragile to sustain the present form of governance.

Further negligence of the wave of terrorism and general government lawlessness sustained by systemic corruption and impunity will result to anarchy and the consequences can be Nigeria’s second civil war.

Inscriptions were made on the blood stained walls of St. Theresa Church. One of them was REVOLUTION NOW and the other was NO MORE PEACE IN THE COUNTRY.

These inscriptions are perfect descriptions of the current situation in Nigeria. Who knows where we go from where?

Some tears will never dry.

May the souls of Innocent, his children and all those who paid the supreme price for Nigeria find peace.

May their families find the strength to move on.
