How Much Money Does A Man Need?

In 1996 before the end of my service year I met an elderly man in a village near Moniya, on the outskirts of Ibadan. I think the village is called Idi Ose or something like that. Some of my colleagues at that time had been going to that village before I arrived in Oyo State for my service year.

The village provided solitude, a sort of respite from the stress of the work we do as Nigerians at IITA. I think my colleagues really wanted to have a place where they can have peace from work and sip original palm wine or just relax in the shade when they have long breaks or at the close of work before heading home. There is always peace when you are close to nature.

The elderly man, a very good reason to follow on the short trips to the other side of the road, was a very good listener and he chose his words with wisdom when he spoke. On one particular day he revealed his vexations, his bitterness about the criminals and greedy people called politicians who loot or steal from the treasuries across Nigeria. His greatest disappointment was that the crazy politicians do not need so much money for a single, short life time. For most of us we will not live up to 36 500 days!

He must be in his 70’s then and he told us that he had counted the probable days left of his life. He made an example and said if he had just N1m, that it would be more than enough for him to live a good life for the rest of his days. So, he questioned the excessive looting by Nigerian politicians and public office holders. He could neither comprehend, nor understand the rational behind looting of several billions of naira or dollars by individuals.

It was from this elderly man that I first heard that having cars do not depict prosperity. It’s hard to admit such a line of reasoning in Nigeria and I understood it more in Europe where people leave their cars at home and enjoy bicycle rides to work and parks.

How much money does a man need actually?

The answers cannot be that easy and the question cannot be treated in isolation. It can also not be generalised.

The amount of money a man needs today will depend greatly on the country that he lives in. Even within a single country the amount will also vary locally or regionally.

But what a non-greedy “universal” man needs can be used a yardstick, sort of standard.

At every point in time, a man needs access to shelter. He needs food, water and above all a good state of health to enjoy the previously stated necessities of life.

But how does one define a universal man? Is he/she single, married or divorce? Does he or she have children? What kind of roles does the society play in the care of the underprivileged, the unemployed, the old, the ill and other categories of the people who one can classify as either dependents or weak?

In what ways can one connect the universal man to the others in the same society? This question is very relevant for countries like Nigeria because of the overwhelming abnormalities that obtain in how the society runs. It’s a totally dysfunctional society where bad politics and stupid policies have ruined the essential foundations of family, society and country.

A universal man who has come of age wants to have a job or do something in order to earn a dignified living or existence. At every point in time, he can live in one house or in an apartment. At every point in time, he can drive one car or ride a bicycle. He can only sleep on a bed. These things and all the other things that a man desires can be naturally influenced by taste and normal affluence.

However those who loot Nigeria’s treasuries do not understand that happiness comes from the perfect integration of work and play. They do not comprehend that happiness is also based on sound health, contentment with family, mutual coexistence with other people and peace with nature and environment.

Greed is the creator of insatiateness. When people working in public positions, Nigerian politicians in this case, start to think that they can build a perfect life based on the amount of money they steal or accumulate, then there is a tendency to open up a bogus life instead, that which is based on falsehood, criminalities and perpetual illusions that money is the sole basis of happiness or solution to life’s puzzle.

This is where Nigerian politicians are today. They found an evil haven in the nature of the crazy politics and ways of life that emerged in post-independence Nigeria. They created a buffer called the immunity clause that allows them to live as criminals in government and eventually they remain free criminals shielded from prosecution even after days of political plundering.

They found morally bad refuge in the useless law system that they helped to manipulate and rendered ineffective. Nigerian politicians who are well known criminals have rarely ended up in jails. Nigerians as a people are totally disorganised and weakened by ethnicity and religiosity amongst other factors that promote mental slavery. They back their own “local political criminals” or they simply adopt the “siddon look” approach. What a tragic sequence!

Does a man need up to 12 billion dollars in his life time? Why would a man steal so much money under the pretence of political service? Such crimes are previously thoughts to be reserved for the social misfits, career smugglers and armed bandits until it became the official pastime of public office holders in Nigeria.

What kind of satisfaction comes from buying properties that belong to the government and the people under the pretence of governance? Why do Nigerian politicians engage in looting competitions to acquire massive wealth that they cannot exhaust if they were to live their lives 100 times over?

Are these acquisitions growing signs of undetected mental ailments among Nigerian politicians? How much money does a man need? Leo Tolstoy made us understand how much land a man need. It’s just 6 feet.

The minimum federal wage in Nigeria is N18 000 per month. This poverty wage is so low and shameful it can only buy 3 standard meals at an average modern eatery in Nigeria. How does a man who earn N18 000 per month survives from one month to the next? Understanding this type of a question can help us arrive at what an average man needs to survive in Nigeria. It will illuminate the things Nigerians do in order to survive.

It will also in no small extent expand the scope of the mental ailments of the Nigerian politicians who earn more than any other group of politicians globally but still needing to steal or loot so much. Nigerian politicians will rub shoulders with the most corrupt categories of people in the world.

How much money does a man need? Is family a reason to become a thief in politics? How did Nigerians end up employing or selecting criminals as politicians all round and then end up doing nothing to rectify the anomaly?

When a man starts his own family, how much money does he need? How does he plan his household so that his usual income can cater for the need of his wife and children? What are the modern roles of women in Nigerian homes so that a family is able to maintain an economic stability that will keep them away from crime or criminal tendencies? I know that women are breadwinners in many homes anyway.

Irrespective of the amount of money that a man needs as an individual or as a breadwinner, the amount of money that Nigerian politicians earn and then loot will not be justifiable. It has been crime against humanity all the way.

Nigeria is paying her legislators the highest salaries in the world. Yet they receive unlimited bonuses, have access to contracts, and enjoy lazy times at the sittings.

In general Nigerian politicians earn a lot and steal a lot. A whooping 600 billion dollars may have been stolen from the Nigerian treasury in the past 50 years. About 200 billion dollars of these wasted monies have allegedly disappeared since the return of civilian rule in 1999.

What these looted or wasted monies could have translated into is immeasurable. But with simple logic, it is easy to assume that Nigeria is supposed to be the best country to live on earth. I mean who throws away 600 billion dollars? It’s insane!

The consequences include but are not limited to making Nigeria probably the most corrupt country in the world, one of the worst places to live on planet earth and a place where life expectancy is declining fast.

Nigerian politicians and former military dictators should be made to undergo extensive psychological evaluations so Nigerians can know what is going on in their heads. Answers may be needed for the sake of posterity. Nigeria may take the help of renowned anthropologists to do extensive studies on the mindsets of her politicians.

I’m serious to repeat that this is very important and necessary because Nigerian politicians are definitely not normal people. Their abnormalities are promoted by the absence of functional legal systems that ought to put away political criminals in prisons. It is also promoted by the absence of virtues that define sane societies for example Nigerians do not question the sources of wealth, they simply worship it. In the presence of money, majority of Nigerians simply lose their moral consciousness.

What is a politician or a group of politicians doing with stolen or missing 20 billion dollars or 12 billion dollars or even 1 billion dollars? Why would someone loot 300 million pounds in Nigeria and stash away in a foreign bank? Is the money his father’s savings or his family earnings? These types of politicians ought to have been rounded up and bundled behind bars.

It’s amazing how Nigerians have been enveloped by both the Stockholm and the Nigerian syndromes. These untoward attributes make up (the) almost irreversible tragedies that plague Nigeria as it is today.

How much money does a man need for a life span that is less than 100 years (36 500 days)? I don’t think these retards count their life span in days just to see how short life is!

All the atrocities committed by civilian rulers/looters and military gangsters have already taken their tolls and it is getting worse. Life expectancy in Nigeria is moving below the 40 year mark. Unpublished data in the hands of a medical doctor friend and classmate of mine puts life expectancy in Nigeria between 37-39 years old.

How long are Nigerians going to look on or away before they realise that their future had been stolen and that recovery lies entirely in their hands. The system of government is rubbish. We are just reading about a probable scenario where Goodluck Jonathan may have kept several millions of naira in Aso rock. Is Aso rock a bank or bureau de change? This type of trend is common in Nigeria but it is totally abnormal and crazy.

In every part of Nigeria, people need to organize sensible resistance and find ways to end the reign of the bad rulers and corrupt politicians. The people need to regain their consciousness and take back their regions in (to) normalcy. It’s going to be a very long walk to freedom.

It is known that all days can be for the thief. But no matter how long it takes one day must definitely be for the owner. With the nonsense immunity clause in Nigeria that protect criminals in government and the invalid status of the rule of law that fails to catch up with them, one day it will be time for the people to round up all the corrupt politicians and military dictators and tell them that enough is enough!

That’s part of the hope and probably one of the ways forward as well.

BOKO HARAM: Who are the powers behind?

There are insinuations in Nigeria that General Ibrahim Babangida, General Buhari, Atiku Abubakar and even ex-Gov Shekarau are some of the brains and sponsors behind Boko Haram.

In Nigeria anything is possible.

I cannot state for sure that this insinuation is true or false but someone described it as an intelligent report on the security situation in Nigeria.

The unconfirmed report even went ahead to state that the Boko Haram militants have received training in Sudan, Saudi Arabia and Syria. The weapons are also suggested to have come from these named foreign countries.

At Nigeria borders weapons have been intercepted several times but no one knows where these weapons end up in the end. It is not impossible that the weapons get to their destinations anywhere due to the corrupt nature of the Nigerian public service system.

What do Nigerians want to do with their lives and existences amidst the certainty that it is now impossible to continue to pretend that Nigeria is one country. The failed country called Nigeria has never been one in principle and it will NEVER be one country. NEVER!

So maybe one day the sensible people will wake up from their slumbers and rescue their heritage and regions from the claws of the larger evil Nigerian government and useless existence as a failed country.

That day they may begin a new chapter in their own histories and make something out of the ruins that is left so that their children and children’s children who have a place to call home. Right now Boko Haram has made Nigeria a more complicated hell on earth.

The rumour about the leaked intelligent report that General Ibrahim Babangida, General Buhari, Atiku Abubakar and even ex-Gov Shekarau are some of the sponsors of Boko Haram may just be true. Anything is possible in that country-Nigeria.

True or false, it would be interesting to see what Jonathan (the man who is always drinking alcohol) does in the days now following the leaked intelligent report.

Elections and Riots, It Is In Their Character

I still hold on to my views about how elections should be conducted in Nigeria. There is still a need to establish permanent workable electoral processes that will avoid wastage of funds, and on the side, lives, every four years.

Whether they like it or not Nigerians must establish electoral processes that will bring about unquestionable outcomes.

Until such a time that votes cast can be checked against a social security number or identity card numbers, Nigeria may never experience a peaceful electoral process. One of my friends called me naïve because he thought Nigeria is too complex for such ideas. How can any country be complex or complicated for progressive ideas?

Ten years ago, who could have thought that Nigerians would be using ATMs or VISA cards? But they are using them quite efficiently. So why would it be impossible to issue IDs and security numbers? It will take time but it is a course they must take. All their options and short cuts are resulting in arguments and waste of lives and property.

Many Nigerians will argue that the last presidential election was fair, free and peaceful. They have valid points. But to term the post-election violence as an expression of frustration is an understatement. There is no smoke without fire.

Some Facebook commentators have argued that the North can break away for all they care. It is not that simple and easy to solve the problems. Some people are arguing for regional governments, that even makes more sense.

Now to the just concluded presidential elections in Nigeria.

There are insinuations that the elections have been rigged.

It is one thing for elections to be free and fair. It is another thing entirely for the elections to be credible and to hold water. When results are counted at polling stations, they are usually in hundreds or a few thousands. But when they are announced by INEC, they are in millions.

The idea of register, vote and protect, in my opinion, remains meaningless if not senseless. The only thing that can be protected in any election anywhere in the world is the number of forensically identifiable individuals.

I know several Nigerians who are not voting this year. Those who have registered at “convenient venues” like places or work or familiar environment could not vote because they are not allowed to move outside their residential areas on election days.

One thing is that it is very primitive to restrict movement of people on election days. The other thing is that when Nigeria has adopted the system I suggested in previous essays people will be allowed to vote even before the real Election Day. In that case no one will be disenfranchised if restrictions to movement are enforced on the last day.

One of the commonest mistakes that election riggers make in Nigeria is that while they rigged election results, they usually forget the number of registered voters in some states or communities. The smallest of errors in an election outcome gives room for doubts and questions the integrity of the conductors. Sincerely, it does.

It is hard to believe that any particular candidate in the presidential election will gather more than 90% of votes in any state of the federation. But Jonathan got 99% of the votes in some states. This is a very obvious error on the part of the manipulators and riggers. That one candidate can gather between 90 – 99.6% in any state of the federation ought to be investigated and scrutinized closely. All the electoral materials from such states should be surrendered to independent panel for verification. But do they have anything that is independent in Nigeria?

Buhari said he is in possession of evidence that can prove that INEC computers were pre-programmed to deliver the winning ticket to the PDP. He also said he has some questions for INEC regarding some results.

No one can doubt that computers can be programmed or re-programmed. If truly Buhari has made this claim and if he has the evidence why not produced it/them immediately?

He should also be asking all his questions now using the appropriate medium/ media.

The situation in the North cannot be allowed to continue unabated.

Riots have broken out in Northern Nigeria, People are dying, houses, churches and offices are being torched and burnt down. Supporters of PDP are the targets and it is easy to predict that the next targets will be southerners living in the North.

The riots in Northern Nigeria are condemnable, and very unnecessary. It once again shows how divided Nigerians are and it gives more weight to the argument that Nigerians should divide the country and let every region goes its separate way. This is a complicated resolution and civil wars may break out in several regions. Nigeria remains a volatile country.

Nigerians don’t know yet who ordered these riots but they do know that the rulers or elders in the North are slack and slow. They are watching as their territories are set ablaze. How low are their mentalities? What is Buhari’s position concerning these riots? Can he go out on the streets and call his supporters and street gangsters to order?

There are ways to seek redress and he cannot allow the morons that are on the loose to destroy his reputation. They have already.

I looked at the table of election results and I conclude that though the elections were relatively free, they are far from being credible. 90% of votes in one state going to one candidate is suspicious, 99,6% is definitely a fabrication or a figment of someone’s imagination. The results justify the billions of naira that Mr. Jonathan had siphoned from the Nigerian economy to ensure that he wins.

Money remains the number one influence in Nigerian elections. Even INEC surprised itself and the bookmakers because I am in shock as to why Jega printed re-run papers. One day in Nigeria votes will be counted genuinely like we did in 1993 when MKO Abiola won the freest and fairest election ever in the history of Nigeria.

Meanwhile Jonathan and Sambo must stop the violence in the North. The celebrations are over and, as the rulers of Nigeria; they have a first major assignment on their hands.

Mr. Jonathan, It’s Not Mudslinging, It’s the Truth. All of you have stolen!

One of the things no one can take away from politicians is their abilities to expose one another. In Nigeria over the past 50 years politicians and military rulers alike have constantly exposed one another just to win the sympathy or support of the people.

The Public Media Outfit of Mr. Jonathan issued a statement which was aired on NTA News on 21st March 2011. The statement cautioned Yinka Odumakin the spokesperson for Gen. Buhari.

But it is one unplanned misfire from one of the paid basket mouths in the PDP camp that sparked off this chain of incidents. Nigerians should enjoy it the way they enjoyed the Obasanjo-Atiku saga and the Atiku-Jonathan saga.
But what we must do is to bring all these looters and liars to judgment at the slightest opportunity. No one of these men should escape the wrath to come.

This is my take on all these accusations and counter accusations.

General Buhari and Atiku Abubakar knew about the several suitcases that were smuggled or brought into Nigeria without proper checks when Buhari was the dictator. Buhari cannot continue to tell Nigerians that the suitcases were personal properties of a few people and that we should go and ask Atiku why they were not checked. Buhari took charge of other things in Nigeria that year, why not the suitcases. And I am not absolving Atiku in anyway; these men are heavily corrupt and hardcore liars.

The details of Buhari drug war on the innocent while sparing the corrupt military has been alleged as one of the nemesis that caught up with him.

If I take Buhari up on the debate issues, he is not close to the president Nigeria needs at this moment. Buhari still believes that Nigerian should dig deep wells to avoid water borne diseases. This man is fastened to the 10th century and I wonder what he wants at the presidency.

Buhari wants Nigerians to bring expatriates from abroad to solve Nigeria’s health problem when Nigerian are solving medical problems around the world. How enlightened and knowledgeable is Buhari?

The best thing from Buhari in the debate was highlighting the source of the militancy in the Niger Delta. But he could have done better anyway to confirm what I have always written that it was Obasanjo and Odili who bought the weapons that started the militancy. They armed these guys for the do or die elections.

The people who live in the Niger Delta told the story just like my mother told me the story of how the civil war led to increase in armed robbery in Nigeria because after the war ended guns remained in the hands of the people. The similarities are too striking.

The greatest liar of them is Nuhu Rubadu. Ribadu told Nigerians many things when he was Obasanjo’s boy-boy. Now that he is lining up with the same people that he prosecuted, the story lines have changed. In Ribadu myopic and extremely selfish and wicked world-Nigerians are no longer corrupt. It is the system that is corrupt. So the system is now being operated by robots in Nigeria?

The most difficult thing to sustain and defend is a lie. This is why Ribadu continues to speak from all sides of his mouth depending on where he is and who he is addressing.

Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan are now relying on the statement that Ribadu made recently that he never accused Patience Jonathan (if you are looking for dame, you are reading the wrong blog) of fraud or stealing.

What about the governor that took over from Jonathan? His opening speech as a governor was used by Atiku to target Jonathan and this was shown every night on NTA News as Atiku battles Jonathan for the PDP ticket. The guy said Jonathan left an empty treasury in Bayelsa and it has not been disputed by anyone. Or was the guy preparing the stage for the looting to continue?

Ribadu is probably the greatest liar alive in Nigeria today. Men and women who have no shame exhibit this type of character. Being a liar is not different from being a thief. They are both vices that have contributed to the looting and destruction of Nigeria.

In any case who needs a Ribadu to confirm that Mrs. Jonathan was twice alleged to have been involved in money laundering? The case had already gone International and not in the hands of Ribadu. Ribadu is not EFCC. Does Mr. Jonathan need further clarification for that?

The intelligence question and reasoning is a big question mark in the Nigerian political scene and I cannot explain enough how these men drag themselves around like clowns. They are absolutely despicable.

DIGRESSION

I blame the people of Nigeria. I continue to blame myself too.

We are a people looking for opportunities to grab here and there and so we allow nonsense and stupidity to pass for normalcy.

I can’t count how many times I have wept for Nigeria. I’ve mentioned this before and I mean real tears. It happened today.

It hurts to see a people acting so foolish and helpless. The typical Nigerian attitude is inexplicable.

Thousands of organizations have sprung up in Nigeria and abroad in the name of support for the ruling party.
PDP, if they ever return or maintain power will plunge more Nigerians below the poverty line. A government to be headed by Jonathan will continue to steal like they have done for the past 12 years.

They have looted uncontrollably since 1999.They shared 50 millions dollars that was meant for power supply, just like that.

They spent 20 billion naira in one day in the name of a stupid 50th anniversary of failure. What a tragedy!

It’s easy to cry when these types of party and the people in it are still receiving support because of the opportunistic nature of Nigerians. I make bold to say that all forms of support to this party especially from Nigerians in diaspora is TOTAL FRAUD. Nigerians abroad who support PDP are wicked callous, senseless, and useless. Do they have an idea of how this party has destroyed Nigeria since 1999?

PDP will become a permanent evil of axis if they succeed in convincing Nigerians for votes or if they rigged by the power of the incumbency.

I have never said that getting PDP out of the way will solve our problems like the magic pills but it will provide us with the means to see another opportunity.

I have not forgotten that this is one election I don’t wish for.

I am too convinced that these April elections are far from the medication that Nigeria needs.

If you’re wondering why I shed tears again. Here are a few tips;

I continue to see several hungry agencies and associations supporting PDP in Nigeria and abroad.

Nigerian artists continue to form agency after agency. Now it’s Neighbour for Neighbour agency. Jonathan gave them a huge sum as trust fund and I’m sure they are already sharing the money or fighting over it as usual. To see Onyeka Onwenu and other helpless artists canvassing for the evil party broke me. Nigerian artists remain hungry because this is not their first appearance. They have done this many times.

National Okada association met Jonathan. They gave him support. Jonathan said that the federal government of Nigeria can use Okada to solve the problems of crime in Nigeria. I wept!

Nigerian rulers are not only dull but they are also wicked and thoughtless. You will use Okada to solve crime in Nigeria?
I have learnt that if you have nothing to say, you stay quiet and if you have no answer to a problem, say I don’t know!
Nigerian politicians prefer to lie and talk rubbish.

DIGRESSION STOP

The front runners for the forthcoming unnecessary elections in April 2011 are liars, deceivers and corrupt people who should be thrown to jail immediately. But in Nigeria, they are worshipped and compared to one another depending on how corrupt they are. I am sad.

Unfortunately I have no good knowledge about Kano but I respect mallam Shekarau. I am not endorsing him as I will never make the mistake of entering the business of endorsing Nigerian politicians.

It is just a confession that Shekarau so far displayed far more intelligence than the intelligences of Jonathan, Buhari and Ribadu summed together. I underrated him before I heard him speak and again I confess that the guy swept me off my feet.

After the debate, despite his shortcomings, I have heard reports about good things in Kano. Someone argued that Kano is not Nigeria. Indeed. On what platform shall a man be assessed if he wants to be a national leader?

I agree with on EFCC and ICPC. He called them glorified police station. He is so right! EFCC and ICPC, just like NTA and over 400 other parastatals in Nigeria are pure waste of public funds. Nigeria since 1960 continues to run the most wasteful government in the history of man.

Mallam Shekaau is not regarded as a strong contender even though we have not been given a public opinion survey within Nigeria.

I felt so sorry for Pat Utomi because at his Lagos campaign, there were just a few people. If he was a PDP candidate who had stolen money Nigerians will troop to the venue with the hope that when he start to share the looted funds like Jonathan is doing, they will get something.

Maybe Pat Utomi should start thinking of lesser offices where, if he is truly genuine, can impact on people’s lives. A local government chairman is not a bad idea. A man should never be too proud if he is called to serve, even at the lowest capacity.

I weep For Nigeria. Change is not near unless we make it happen in a radical way.

Those Nigerian Tropical Gangsters Again?

Babangida, Buhari and Abdulsalami are obviously sick men. Abacha is one of these mad men but he died to the abundant joy of millions of Nigerians.

These men are among the people who brought shame and dishonour to our dear country Nigeria. It is still very amazing how we have been fooling around in this country. As a matter of fact, we are still dancing around in circles since the independence in 1960.

Why are these mad men still seen dancing naked in public places? It is very difficult to blame these shameless men who continue to parade themselves around like nonentities.

The fact is that no one has been bold enough to tell them their real names to their faces. Babangida is a thief. Buhari is a thief and Abdulsalami is a thief. The most untold truth in Nigeria is that all our politicians and autocratic leaders are thieves. The difference and the battle among them is how much they are capable of stealing yet escaping the Nigerian short arm of the law.

In 2008, 21st century jet age and globalize world, some idiots who stole, looted and ripped Nigeria to pieces will open their dirty stinking mouths that Abacha did not steal! Nonsense! These people are mad. If we follow the sharia law that they are supposed to be practicing, they should all be amputated and thereafter stone to death in open places.

Since the rule of law has died a natural and sudden death in Nigeria, people who stole and merry with our commonwealth can have the audacity to return into our lives anytime they like and tell us what they think in their korofo skull.

If there is rule of law in Nigeria, where does Babangida thinks that his correspondence address would be since 1993? Where does Buhari, Abdulsalami and the other thieves think that they would have been receiving visitors? Please o, I am tired of this rubbish. Let these men just shut up and continue to enjoy their loots until they rot away. Every living thing must rot anyway. Vanity of men!

Enough of these insults to our collective intelligence. In their idleness and madness if they have nothing to do, they should just sleep or take a trip to a place of solitude where no one can hear or record the insanity emanating from their fractured cerebrals.

Abacha did not steal from Nigeria? Ok, it is my mother who stole billions and stashed them away in several banks at home and abroad. What a way to go? Even madam Abacha had the guts to appear in public places. What is she parading? Shame? Insanity? Both?

This country remains in square one all the time. Few are enjoying and millions are suffering. The calamities of this nation continue despite all the attempts by the present illegal leadership and past dictators to paint it otherwise.

No regime or leadership in Nigeria should be taken seriously at all. Any leader that wants to be taken seriously must be ready to do the unthinkable and lay his or her life for the prosperity of Nigeria. History of corruption had been written and re-written time and time over again. Almost no tangible positivity has emerged on the war on corruption.

If people like Babangida continue to live as freemen and as a matter of fact if he dies a freeman, the coffin of Nigeria would have been laid forever. It will be cited in our annals as a reference for the ability to loot, steal, kill and walk free. He should face the consequences of his misdeeds before anything else

If Nigeria must make progress, the biggest giant step will be to round up these thieves and murderers in and out of power and send them to where they belong. That will immediately awaken all the present and current looters to know that governance means service and not looting and killing.

There is nothing that has not been said about Nigeria but there is a lot that has not been done to set the records straight. One of our biggest deficiencies is the mentality that governance is a means to acquire wealth and make money. The lack of prosecution or the use of selective prosecution has made many sacred but mad cows to roam our biosphere and parade their ineptitudes.

What a pity that we can still be fed with these types of jargons by the men who catalysed and accelerated the destruction of our great country. It is very annoying. It is inexplicable and it shows that this country is in bondage. It is absolutely within the fangs of some tropical gangsters whose folds continue to multiply and manifest in various forms. This country Nigeria needs Deliverance
