It Will Not Be Well With APC and PDP Politicians!

By Adeola Aderounmu

Yes, you read it well. It will never be well with them.

They spread poverty in Nigeria and made Nigerians the poorest people in the world.

This Saturday, it is up to Nigerians to end this slavery and put an end to the APC and PDP styled rulership. APC and PDP are one and the same criminal organisation with 2 branches. We don’t even know who is in APC and who is in PDP because of the way they have been moving easily between the 2 branches.

If Nigerians want to be free, they need to unite for once and let APC and PDP self-destruct. The youths are the leaders of today. There are young people vying to lead Nigeria. If not now, then when?

Nigeria 2019 Elections

Nigeria 2019 Elections

On february 16 2019 Nigerians will have a chance to chart a new course for their lives.

The saddest thing about this 2019 election is that even the international community regard it as a tussle between the 2 criminal organisations called APC and PDP.

In a widely accepted international perspective, Mr. Atiku who is running on the platform is regarded as an international criminal. So the question is, why is a criminal running for the position of the president in the first place? Is he not supposed to be cooling off in prison in Nigeria or the United States where his partners in crimes are serving jail terms or have served their terms?

The incumbent, Mr. Buhari is a hardcore tyrant who has no respect for democratic principles. He is unintelligent, unschooled, brutal and very corrupt. All the criminals in the opposition party PDP who crossed to APC had their sins forgiven according to the party chairman, one Adams Oshiomhole who is also alleged to have stolen monies from the government office in Edo State.

It is very sad that Nigerians and the world made this a contezt between 2 criminals leading 2 criminal organisations. The verdict is that Nigerians will become poorer if either wins and corruption will rise to a new height in the country.

How can a country that prides itself as the giant of Africa continue to parade criminals in government? Why are the people so passive and reluctant to carry out a revolution either though the ballot or in another way? Why is it impossible to remove the immunity clause that allow these criminals to enjoy their loots and even persist in government to carry out more stealing? Is it a curse to be a Nigerian?

It would have been more rewarding for the international community to spread their search light on the 3rd largest party in Nigeria which is the AAC whose candidate Omoyele Sowore through the #takeitback movement is vying for the office of the president as well. There are other candidates that could have been given the coverage like Fela Durotoye and one Kingsley Moghalu who served in the Central Bank under the wasteful PDP regime.

It would be a shame if APC or PDP wins on Saturday because Nigerian youth ought to be well organised and ready to take the country into the future. Buhari and Atiku have been around, stealing and looting for too long without consequences and they ought to be shown the way out.

Why are Nigerian youths not using the power of youth?

The roads are long to freedom.

First, Nigeria needs a new set of people in government. The country needs people who are young, vibrant and without criminal records like the prominent APC and PDP politicians.

Secondly the country is in dire need of a new system of government. The regional system of government that was truncated un 1966 promoted development and growth for Nigeria. The unitary system of government is senseless and useless and it will continue to promote corruption, unemployment, ineptitude, useless federal character and the promotion of mediocrity above common sense and merits.

So it is a long road for Nigeria that is more than 200 years behind the civilised world. 200 years because electricity is absent in Nigeria. There are no good roads (in the places l live and travel in western Nigeria), there are no public schools and the health facilities are near zero.

With more years for APC and PDP, Nigeria will get worse and the people will remain the poorest people in the world.

If Nigerians fail to dismiss APC and PDP this february especially at the presidential elections, they would have chosen to remain slaves in their own country. They would have chosen to remain under the oppressors and the cabals who see Nigeria as an entity to be captured and milked to death.

Terrorism will rise and insecurity will reach a new height. Unemployment will remain rife. It will never be well for nigeria as long as APC and PDP type of politicians dominate and rule the land. How these realities are not obvious to the general public is a worrisome development.

We have been on this issue since 1960 and latest since 1999 when we thought we found a new democracy.

We will be back here in 2013 writing about these same issues in exactly the same way if we stick with the same ways of doing things. We have the opportunity to write about these things in another 4 years if we elect new people with new ideas. The choices are crystal clear.

If Nigeria does not kick our APC and PDP this february, the world will be seeing the greatest tragedy of the 21st century after the world wars coming into full bloom.

Nigerian Governor Call For The Massacre Of Foreigners

By Adeola Aderounmu

A serving governor in Nigeria Mr. El Rufai has called for foreigners who interfere in Nigerian elections to be murdered and send back to their countries in body bags.

This is probably the most useless tv interview you will see this month and this should probably open your eyes on the emergence and rise of Boko Harm in Northern Nigeria.

Those who have been in doubt  about the roles of the elites like Buhari, Atiku and El-Rufai in the emergence and rise of Boko Haram need to start a new analysis of the genesis and rise of Boko Haram.

This is how it all started. This slip of thoughts by El Rufai is a tip of the icebergs in the mentality of the Northern elites.

Go back in time when Atiku and Buhari promised to unleash terror if they lost elections. Where do you think the terror was coming from? Of course, they always meant the use of Boko Haram and the use of ever ready to slaughter Northerners. Or ask yourself, who are the fighters that are going to kill foreigners and put them in body bags? They cannot be the police and l don’t think El-Rufai had the Nigerian army in mind.

Does that make sense now? Ok, go and do more research and you will see how we have been beating about the bush about the people to really arrest in order to stop Boko Haram.

From another point of view, when l listened to El-Rufai   in this short clips, l saw one of the several reasons why Africa is underdeveloped. We have basically mad men in power, people of very low mentalities.

Europe and America for sure had their histories but so does Africa. We have had our dark history. Now the world is in the light and everyone is civil but El Rufai said we should still be going through this nonsense again. Then when are we going to emerge and catch up with the rest of the world.

No, Mr. foolish El Rufai, we are tired of this regurgitation—-every country went thru this or that. We too have been here before. As recent as 1959, Nigeria had so much violence that the independence was shaky. Every election year had been hell and the military rule had been torturing.

We must emerge now and we cannot wait.

In addition, when you talk about what other countries went through, the last of them that is missing in Nigeria is the bloody revolution.

And in the words of El-Rufai, body bags are used for people like him in a bloody revolution. I support that if that will bring us at par with the rest of the world in the shortest time possible.

The problem is how we think.

In a sane world, should we even be talking about criminals in apc and pdp? Should they not all be under arrest now or serving terms in prisons? Criminals like El-rufai, who also doubled as a religious fanatic should never be seen in public. They should be in prisons and when they are free should only be controlling their bedrooms.

This man is evil and his case should be sent to the international criminal court of justice. There is nothing that should stop the arrest and prosecution of Buhar as well. These men don’t belong among other men, they are far from civil and the only thing that gives them satisfaction is the blood of others.

what a mess!

A People Who May Choose Slavery Over Freedom

By Adeola Aderounmu

20181212_1153361464806359.jpg

In less than 2 weeks Nigerians will go to the polls in a nationwide presidential election.

If APC or PDP wins the election, it would mean that the majority of the people have decided that 200 million Nigerians will continue to live in slavery in their own country.

This is my verdict as a social blogger and it may not tally with the views of the readers or voters.

But in my opinion, if you have tried something for 20 years and it doesn’t work, it means that you need to revolt or make a drastic or radical change of opinions.

Trying to separate between APC or PDP in my personal opinion I stupidity. Buhari and Atiku were both members of APC until about a year ago when Atiku left APC. Don’t even try to track the political parties that Atiku have been member of. You may go crazy trying to follow the political story of Africa’s greatest political prostitute.

Buhari is not in control of Nigeria. All he has done in the past 4 years is to bring criminals from PDP to APC, grant them immunity from prosecution and promote poverty in Nigeria. You have to follow the Nigerian political campaigns to know that Buhari is mentally ill and unfit to even take care of himself. Somebody needs to help him and he should be in a mental institution. So, anyone who is still supporting Buhari is either doing it for stupidity or absolute ignorance.

There is a promising SOWORE who has ideas and we say he has no experience. Nonsense talk. Where has Buhari’s experience taken us? Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world. What experience are we talking about? Buhari has no education. He cannot read. He cannot write and he cannot read what he has written. We are in 2019 people, not 1179. Even then, people could write and read.

Atiku is a seasoned criminal. His mission is to steal like he did between 1999 and 2007. My generation is now 47 years average age and are we saying 47 year olds cannot govern a country? Buhari started contributing to the destruction of Nigeria before he was 30!

In any case, l will continue to warn us of the dangers of allowing criminals to rule in Nigeria. APC and PDP are full of criminals who cannot prosecute one another before they are the same.

I was in Nigeria in the summer of 2018, so when people say that we are not on ground, all l see is their stupidity and narrow minds. Poverty is written all over Nigeria. Social madness is all over the place.

Everything is destroyed. Health. Education. Electricity doe not even exist.

There is no revolution and that even beats the imagination of the sane world. But when a chance comes like this to bury APC and PDP, and you see people who you think are normal supporting APC and PDP, then you know that there may also be some extraordinary force controlling the minds of Nigerians.

How can a people choose to be slaves in their own country? The answer to this question will avail much.

I continue to maintain that in my own opinion, when things got worse under APC, my thought was that both APC and PDP would be abandoned. In fact, l don’t understand how these parties are still in existence, how much more that they will be getting voted for.

One would have thought that with civilisation and awareness, that both APC and PDP ought to die natural deaths as both political parties having failed to deliver in 20 long years!

The Nigerian youths are the biggest disappointments in all of these. I do not even consider myself a youth anymore knowing that l will soon be 50!

But when 50 years old down to 20 years old are shouting Atiku and Buhari, you know that there is hopelessness and outright stupidity in Nigeria. If these youth and younger people are not mad, how can they be rallying round criminals when there are other parties and young candidates s alternatives.

There are things l will never understand even if people try to make me do. They say APC and PDP have structures, what nonsense structures? If the young people look away from the structures and queue behind Sowore, the nonsense structures you talk about will be empty or collapse.

But l know that poverty has been used as a weapon. Still my opinion is that if we had used our senses, we would have spread the awareness on the need to stake our future in new people and new ideas.

But even with one day to the election, nothing is too late if people spread the message. It is an easy message. Vote new candidates and let us take control of Nigeria.

When we do, we will arrest all the criminals in APC and PDP, collect back looted funds and add them to the investment for the future.

I COULD GO ON…but back to work now.

Cheers

A Gathering Storm, Nigeria 2019

A Gathering Storm, Nigeria 2019

By Adeola Aderounmu

(For my views of Nigerian politics, see my previous posts or visit my instagram posts @thygloryonigeria)

Adeola Aderounmu

In february 2019, Nigeria will again go to the poll. As l pulled my TIME Magazine January 21 Edition for Europé, l saw a small headline that took a big part of my attention.

I read TIME Magazine for fun, and to keep abreast with the news that l don’t catch on television.

20190115_232833.jpg

Ian Bremmers verdict on Nigeria 2019

Ian Bremmer listed Nigeria as one of the top 10 risks for 2019. He is right because truly a storm is gathering in Nigeria. For his short analyses, see the images in this essay.

Ian’s short analyses gave Atiku Abubakar as the only opponent of Muhammadu Buhari.  That is an underestimation of popular candidates like Omoyele Sowore, Kingsley Moghalu and Fela Durotoye. There is also a former minister, Mrs. Ezekwesili in the race for the presidency.

The incubent Mr. Buhari definitely should not be contesting for this position anymore. He is suffering from aggravated dementia and an undefined mental complicity that only his family members or doctors can elaborate on.

Mr. Buhari likely forged his age. His contemporaries are well into their 80s while he claimed to be 76 years old.

20190115_232919.jpg

Mr. Atiku is therefore about the same age as Buhari, which is very unlikely.

20190118_200539.jpg

Front cover of Time Magazine Europe

The 2019 elections may turn violent because the cabal controlling Mr. Buhari are keen on holding on to power. In recent weeks, they have made some security appointment in the police still replacing the former Inspector general with a new one from the north of the country. Invariably all the security chiefs in Nigeria are from Northern Nigeria.

Buhari is the most nepotic president in the history of the world. It is either he is insensitive to the fact that Nigeria is a diverse country or his brain is still in 1984 when he was a military dictator or he is outrightly ”mad”. It is not clear what i wrong with Mr. Buhari but dementia and memory loss are very obvious symptoms.

Rotimi Amaechi’s confesssions And Buhari’s Zero Integrity

With what we have heard so far of the Amaechi Tapes, Buhari should have resigned or be impeached. The last option is the occupation of Nigeria by 150 million people in a revolution that should end both the APC and the PDP criminal/political organisations.

Nigerians are going about their usual hustles. People are acting like nothing big happened. This is part of the problems with Nigeria.

When are we going to start having consequences for wrong doings? When are we going to start sacking government by force?

Buhari does not have any more moral standing to contest the 2019 elections even if the election is about a month away. Buhari should be escorted away from the seat of power. This is where we ought to be now if we are not living in a giant zoo.

If Buhari is a normal human being and if Nigeria is a normal country, the Amaechi tape ought to be end of his presidency and the end of his political life. This is still possible before the elections.

The Nigerian army cannot slaughter 150 million people should the people understand that they have the right to stop supporting criminals as their rulers. Buhari is a criminal, full stop.

Amaechi should be arrested to continue testifying in court.

This is anotheir golden opportunity to unite and end the APC and PDP combined criminal activities since 1999.

And who says this cannot happen? Why can it not happen? It is the right thing to do and the occupation should start now.

The Most Tragic Untold Story Of Our Time After The Civil War

A totally failed political system and the criminal-politicians in APC and PDP are currently responsible for the poverty and hopelessness in the country and they must be stopped in 2019 by allowing for fresh ideas and fresh minds in our political spaces. Otherwise we, or some other people, will be back in 2023 writing a similar sad story.

The Most Tragic (Untold) Story Of Our Time After The Civil War

By Adeola Aderounmu

20181217_0913041825311321.jpg

”Today, in my personal opinion, the dilemma that face Nigeria and the consequences of absolute misrule (before and) after the civil war are together probably the most tragic untold story of our time.

Over the years, closer to 2 decades, l have written about Nigeria and the ills in the society. More pertinently, as each year wraps up, in the last decade, l continue to emphasise how Nigerians unabatedly waste the opportunities that each year provides or presents.

The biggest opportunity in 2019 is the february presidential election. Historically, since 1966, Nigeria suffered a major setback in the world order. There were 2 senseless coups in 1966 that truncated an emerging democracy. The functional regional system of government that promoted developments across the different geo-political zones in Nigeria was discarded in favour of a useless and senseless unitary system.

The hopes that came with the re-emergence of civilian rule in 1999 has faded into thin air as criminal-politicians in the major political parties especially APC and PDP have hijacked the country and continue to loot her resources, depleting wealth rather than creating and multiplying it.

From 1999 to 2015, the period that l had earlier described as the ”worst years of our lives” as Nigerians, it was the PDP that held sway. A former military dictator, one Olusegun Obasanjo converted the 1999 to 2007 years to his personal rags to riches fable.

He left the position of the president after he was forced out by a combined efforts of politicians and concerned citizens who were against his bid for a life-presidency. He had since denied the allegations despite the several billions of naira that evidently flew around in the National Assembly, where the lawmakers continue to milk the country dry to this day.

It is an integral part of this tragedy that the people of Nigeria, both the enlightened and the unelightened, the educated and the uneducated at this moment cannot see beyond APC and PDP. It is one of the deepest cuts in the soul of humanity today.

When Obasanjo left in 2007, he forced the way of his candidate to electoral victory. In what appeared like goodwill to a friend he had in the military, Obasanjo imposed Umaru Yar’Adua, the younger brother of Musa Yar Adua-his late friend in the army, on Nigerians. Umaru Yar Adua died due to a potracted illness allowing his deputy, Goodluck Jonathan to take over the mandate of power.

Goodluck Jonathan later won the presidential election in 2011 and reigned over Nigeria until 2015. He served 6 years at the helm of affairs. Jonathan is a known drunkard and a very corrupt man from Bayelsa State. On several occasions, his wife had been found wanting on charges of corruption and money laundering. She never went to prison!

Nigerians suffered under a deplorable economic situation even with Mrs. Iweala as the minister of finance. Mrs. Iweala later wrote a book condemning the powers that be in Nigeria who strangulated her efforts and so on. As a social critic l see the presence of Mrs. Iweala in Obasanjo and Jonathan’s cabinet as an endorsement of corruption and ineptitude.

Mrs.Iweala did not blow any whistle and she did not resign to highlight the problems in the Nigerian government. During Obasanjo’s reign, she and her boss could not account for the returned Abacha’s loots. Mrs. Iweala in my humble opinion is one of the problems with Nigeria. If you cannot tell us the problems with Nigeria and the solutions while you serve and you cannot even call the police and the law on criminals serving with you, why bother when you are out of power and out of favour?

Between 2014 and 2015 there was a mass cross-carpeting amongst Nigerian politicians. The senseless phenomenon was repeated in 2018. In 2014/15, many of the criminal-politicians in PDP joined and teamed up with other criminals in other political parties and established the APC.  It was at this point that it became more obvious that Nigerian politicians have no ideologies and they are swift in repositioning themselves for the next, and every chapter of looting of the Nigerian treasury.

Buhari is probably the first person in history (or just among the very few that may exist) that spoke evil of his country and downcast her citizens while claiming to be the ruler of the country. It was highly moronic!

A notorious political godfather, one Bola Tinubu, championed the projection of a tyrant who had tried and unsuccessfully attemped the Nigerian presidency on 4 earlier occasions. Tinubu and another notorious politician called Rotimi Ameachi opened up the loots thay had accumulated from Lagos and Rivers state and ensured that the social media was well manipulated. It was the same way an ex-convict named Ibori was used by Olusegun Obasanjo to sponsor the election of Umaru Yar’Adua. The money meant for the development of the Niger Delta always wasted in many ways.

True, Jonathan is a crook. True, Nigerians were suffering and Jonathan had no clue over the affairs of Nigeria. One woman, a very silly and corrupt person called Diezani Alison-Madueke,  literarily took away Nigeria’s crude oil earnings and kept them as personal belongings. She was flying in jets with her children and family members and they were buying houses and merchandise around the world. Jonathan was either very weak or just a woman wrapper. It was a tragic regime.

Sadly, the change slogan that APC sold to Nigerians in 2014 and which brought Muhammadu Buhari to power in 2015 had turn out to be the biggest fraud of the decade in Nigeria. The Buhari government is at par with the regime of Jonathan, if not worse. One of the most obvious corruption charges under the nose of Muhammadu Buhari-the grasscutter scandal-was never visited or sent for prosecution. Till today, the police have not made any arrest and the judiciary is working like zombies.

So invariably, we got ourselves (what we thought was) a new government with old attitudes. When l wrote about the status quo after the emergence of the APC in 2015, many thought l was in a hurry. But l knew that the morning shows the day. Buhari is a puppet too in so many ways, serving the interests of Nigeria’s slave masters (popularly called cabal) and self.

The old orders continue to reign. Almost all the criminals who have looted Nigeria since 1999 are free men and women. Murders and assassinations, latest of Alex Badeh, still have the approval of the presidency as they pretended nothing big happened. Mr. Buhari, contrary to the belief of gullible Nigerians, has no integrity. He should be arrested and tried for crimes dating back to the years before the Nigerian civil war.

In Nigeria, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Those who reigned with Obasanjo and Obasanjo himself are enjoying their loots. Those who reigned with Yar adua are enjoying their loots. Jonathan and those who reigned with him are mostly enjoying their loots. One criminal called Dasuki who mismanaged funds with the approval of Goodluck Jonathan is not so lucky. He has been in prison since Buhari emerged and he had not been left out on bail even with court injunctions in his favour on the matter.

In many cases and on many fronts, Buhari (whose identity is under probe by the IPOB) remains defiant and military-styled. In comparison to the other governments since 1999, this Buhari government is the most clueless. It is out of touch and the man (Buhari?) does not have the mental capacity to rule Nigeria. He is dull, lifeless (in the words of Trump) and lacks the intellectual abilities to lead a tribe, how much more a country.

He remains a stooge, a clog in the wheel of progress of Nigeria since 1977 when he started looting oil revenues. Buhari cannot be absolve of the Abacha loots either as they were the crude oil revenues whilst he was the chairman of the PTF. Buhari is probably the first person in history (or just among the very few that may exist) that spoke evil of his country and downcast her citizens while claiming to be the ruler of the country. It was highly moronic!

As the 2019 presdiential election approaches, both the APC and PDP are doing minimally in campaigns and reaching the people. They know that elections don’t matter as long as they can manipulate the electoral commission. That is where the real fight would take place as usual.

The summary of the situation in Nigeria that l presented above is in my very own personal opinion probably one of the most tragic stories of the 21st century. After almost 60 years of bad governments, spread of poverty, spread of illiteracy (with 13 million children out of school) and a political arrangement that pitch one religion against another and one ethnic tribe against the rest, Nigerians have arguably lost their senses of political identity and several millions have no idea about the state of global affairs and where Nigeria is on the scale. A country without a stable electricity for example is probably 400 years behind the others.

Nigerians are supposed to be living as royals. They deserve to be alright in all aspects of life. But sadly, and regrettably, only a handful of Nigerians are alright economically. But it is hard to even state that there is a Nigerian who is not living in poverty regardless of their wealth. Nigeria as a country is a depiction of poverty and penury. It oozes of hopelessness.

To be sure, Nigerians are amongst the poorest people in the world despite the fact that the country is spread upon the richest combinations of mineral resources in the world. This is because a few greedy people are mismanaging the wealth of the country and they have refused to allow the wealth to grow. We are practising a senseless and useless unitary system of government since the 2 useless coups of 1966. We are allowing one person to steal 12 billion dollars and still be in public light contesting for political office or sponsoring candidates.

One stupid question that l always have to try to address everytime l write an essay is: what then is the solution? I am tired of the question but still try to mention one or two hints. The shortest cut to recovery will be something very close to a (bloody) revolution where all the criminals holding the country to ransom can be arrested, surrounded and brought to very quick judicial judgements. This will change the course of history in Nigeria forever.

However in the absence of the courage to unite because Nigerians have been divided in so many ways and along so many lines, choosing another path (other than the criminally-inclined APC and PDP) is presently the best option for Nigeria and Nigerians. It is an integral part of this tragedy that the people of Nigeria, both the enlightened and the unelightened, the educated and the uneducated at this moment cannot see beyond APC and PDP. It is one of the deepest cut in the soul of humanity today.

The tragedy is far-fetched. In the face of the evidence provided, mostly by switching of political parties, that both APC and PDP politicians are part of a common criminal organisation, our people-Nigerians are still members of APC and PDP. I am in shock that people still attend APC/PDP rallies. It reminds me of why and how slavery in the hands of the Europeans and Arabs lasted more than 500 years.

How can we be free if we (all) belong to criminal organisations like APC and PDP? How can slavery ever end in Nigeria if the majority are still inclined to the old ways or the ways of the APC and PDP?

It is also a great shock to me as a writer that the memberships in APC and PDP are still massive. With the ways and manners that these parties have failed Nigeria, one would think that they should have faced dwindning membership and that the judiciary should be lining up criminal charges against all the key members and actors of these criminal organisations called APC and PDP. By now Nigerians ought to have pulled out and down the National Assembly which is also notorious for sharing the wealth of the country amongst its members.

APC came with the change slogan and amongst the changes we expected were the implementation of the restucturing agenda on her manifesto and the drastic reduction in the salaries and allowances of politicians from the local to the state and national levels. None of that was done.  We will never know what APC meant by restructuring which was the first point on its agenda. Buhari does not even want to hear the word restructure. He is that dull and insolent.

In 4 years of the APC, we did not see the re-emergence of the public schools, we did not see committments to public health as the politicians continue to travel overseas for treatment. We can go on to analyse what could have been done in 4 years but the APC keep blaming the PDP for its non-performance whilst still allowing criminals to parade the national landscape.

Nigerians should not make the mistake of committing the next 4 years (2019-2023) of the country’s fate into the hands of either the APC or the PDP. There are options. There are newer political parties that will perform better than APC and PDP. But the truth is that the problems facing Nigeria have gone beyond mere political parties. Still a new phase must emerge.

The political system is wrong and senseless. Before the 2 useless coups of 1966, there was a structure that promoted healthy competitions among the major regions in Nigeria. It is something very similar to that structure that would be fundamental to the resuscitation of the economic survival of Nigeria. The current unitary system of government is baseless, useless and should only be promoted by people of low mentalities and nonetities-and that is where the APC and PDP politicians are. They are criminals and so they adopt and promote this useless system of government.

Under the political structure similar to the what Nigeria had before the 2 useless coups of 1966, there would be no federal character and there will be no Abuja politics. We will all be busy promoting our regions educationally, healthwise, technologically and infrastruturally. This is what we must preach. We cannot go on with a failed system and expect development, unless we have no brains!

Apparently, the essay is inexhaustible because there is no way l will be able to address the solutions in a single essay. The essay grew by the day since the summer of 2018 just the same way my anger grew as you can see from the tone/language of the essay. It is very intentional and meant to provoke. This is why l run this blog and for over a decade l have been shouting and still on it.  I also run an instagram blog that updates daily. Check out @thygloryonigeria on instagram for my daily reactions to our problems.

The most significant change that must happen soon is the taking over of government from APC and PDP politicians and making sure that they are prosecuted for all their crimes since 1999. Some politicians and military men have been around since the 60s or 70s. They should be taken care of by the laws of the land. They must face the music.

Our problems are many. However, we must take the bulls by the horns. We will not develop even in the regions if we don’t elevate the rule of law above the rule of men.

Apart from the Boko Haram war in the north east of Nigeria, there is yet no official declaration of war in Nigeria. This is why l consider the life we live in Nigeria as probably the worst hidden tragedy in the world today. Against the backdrop of the potentials in the regions and to see more than 100 million people living from hand to mouth, unsure of the next meal: l see no greater tragedy today in the world outside a war zone.
