Lagos Flood, For The Rich And Poor

We can still thank the forces of nature for reminding us that there are still work to be done before the political-worshippers convert their beloved politicians to heavenly gods.

The governor is this, the governor is that, the governor is working, the governor is helping…nonsense talks. Who cares? What are the jobs of a governor? Why was a governor elected? Nobody is forced to become a governor or a politician. You become one because you want to serve.

But because Nigerians are used to politicians who steal and do nothing, they end up praising those who do something and steal at the same time.

Has any governor used his family wealth to develop any state? So, why the praise? Governors spend tax payers’ monies to develop a state (that is if they are working) or they spend federal allocations. Any acknowledgement or praise of that is mental slavery.

Anyway, whatever be the case, here are pictures collected from other places that show us how much work we have to do to keep the floods away.

There are floods of water and sewage everywhere in Lagos.

You can also see the connection between flood and bad roads in Lagos.

A simple google search and you can collect thousands of images about how serious and big this problem is in our dear Lagos.

Keep praising the politicians, kontinuuuu

Cash, Arms And The Songs Of A Coup

Nigeria now appears to be a country in a permanent state of latent war.

Unitary government is a catalyst for coup anywhere. As at this moment, Nigeria remains a slogan and is synonymous with ”capturing the center to steal the wealth from the regions”.

Cash, Arms And The Songs Of A Coup

On at least two ocassions in 2017 the Nigerian Custom have declared that it seized arms at the Lagos port. This trend is a serious problem. The news are up in the air for a couple of hours and they die as quickly as they come. So who knows how many consignments of arms/weapons that have slipped through the Lagos port undetected over the years?

Who are the importers of the weapons? What manner of intelligence or investigation allows the seizure of arms without grabbing the importers by the wrists?  Who are the warlords and weapon dealers behind the direct importation of arms into Nigeria?

The man or woman who is clearing the weapons should be followed to the point of delivery, not accosted at the port as we have been made to understood. It also appears that the Nigerian Custom are used to playing to the gallery by displaying seized goods without working out the owners or simply hiding the owners. This is bad for the security of Nigeria.

How many tons of arms and ammunitions have slipped into the country from other porous points along the borderline of Nigeria?

There is no question about the influx of arms into both the northern and southern parts of Nigeria. Delivery through the desert of the north and the seaways of the south have been as easy as buying satchet water anywhere in Nigeria. What about the heavy ammunitions in the hands of the militants, separatists and the terrorists. Nigeria now appears to be a country in a permanent state of latent war.

The influx of arms into Nigeria is not a new phenomenon. It appears that it has remain unabated even after the civil war ended in 1970. The contributions of the free flow of arms to the rise in the prevalence of armed robbery operations are not well documented, but they confront daily in our existence. In addition, the role of Nigeria’s do-or-die politics in the rise and easy circulation of arms remains remarkable after the return of civilian rule in 1999.

There are other dangerous signs that are hard to ignore at this turbulent time in the rugged history of Nigeria. Civilian regimes in Nigeria have become notorious with provocative criminal acts. The ways and manners in which raw currencies flew in the air during the regime of Goodluck Jonathan is completely insane. Surprisingly, still, under the APC-Buhari mandate, raw cash continues to spread across Nigeria in huge sums. They are found in abandoned or obscure rooms, exquisite apartments and even at airports!

On a number of occasions, the intelligent services in Nigeria have fallen the hands of the citizens. First they find money, then they start to look for the owners. It’s beggining to look like a film. How hard can it be to let the money be, until you can hold the owners by their wrists? When is the drama or dilemma going to end? Enough is enough, please. Save poor people the pains of displaying orphan monies!

Then comes the political problem itself which is the foundation for all the other problems in Nigeria including the life time sentence of poverty on more than 100 million people.

Right now President Buhari’s status and whereabout remain unknown to the people who reportedly voted him to power in 2015. Is Nigeria a country? Is it a country when the voters and the people do not know where their president is or what is going on with him?

No one can pick holes in all the death hoaxes that have befallen the Nigerian president. They are in order. Some people are making money by attracting internet traffic as a result of the secretive and questionable nature of the Nigerian presidency. So be it, until the truth prevails.

The call for the restructuring of Nigeria is overiped. It is one of the probable antidotes to the songs of seccession and the cry of marginalisation. It is the cure for any useless plan to overthrown the government now headed by professor Yemi Osinbajo. For when and if Nigeria is restructured so that we return to regional government, for example, l don’t see why any Hausa-fulani or Yoruba or Igbo would plan a coup. Why?  To what end?

The foolishness of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s when military coups were fashionable will today lead to pandemonium or even war,  only if regional government are in place before the coup. The absence of regional govenrment and the persistent of the useless unitary government in Nigeria is still a catalyst for staging of coups. There will be no surprises if it happens anyway. As at this moment, Nigeria remains a slogan and is synonymous with ”capturing the center to steal the wealth from the regions”.

The surest way forward is for Nigerians to agree on the restructuring and to bring it into effect in the nearest couple of months or years. Nigeria needs a referendum or a series of referendum. Biafra too.

People of every region must choose and define their own fates. This will calm all agitations and help them decide how they want to aggregation and pursue their future. The re-emergence of regional government will bring back healthy competitions for growth, industrialisation and development just the way it was before the coups.

The only gentleman agreement is how to assist less priviledged regions until they become industrious to pick up their resources and agriculture again.

On the other hand, the nonsensical, verbal gentleman’s agreement to rotate the presidency is both undemocratic and evil. It is a passage to anarchy now that president Buhari who was vocal while calling for the impeachement of late Yar Adua seems to have be bedeviled with the same fate as Yar Adua.

This particular gentleman’s agreement is a licence to mediocrity (like the north scheming to have a replacement for Buhari in 2019), to continous turn-by-turn looting of the treasury (most recently the Jonathan army of looters giving way to Buhari soldiers of looters) and a very laughable tragicomedy on how despicably low the intellectual capabilities of Nigerians can be on the political stage.

By the way, where is the Save Nigeria Group and their banners? Or is Nigeria saved already?

A stitch in time saves nine.

Mr. Ambode, The governor Of Lagos Island And The god Of Lagos

By Adeola Aderounmu

The hottest news from Nigeria this week is the sacking of a church worker by the governor of Lagos state. In a manner akin only to wickedness and evil machinations, Mr. Ambode, whom l have long regarded as the governor of Alausa and Lagos Island, threw out Venerable Femi Taiwo with a 24 hour notice.”

Ambode, the god of Lagos?

Ambode, the god of Lagos?

Venerable Femi Taiwon was the presiding chaplain of the Chapel of Christ the Light, Ikeja. His offence was that he was delivering  a sermon and he did not acknowledge the presence of the wife of Ambode.

So Mrs. Ambode went home, probably cried and reported to his husband, the emperor of Lagos, Mr. Ambode. These people are devilish clowns.

My position here is not the same as standing with the church or any religion whatsoever. I care less because the church and mosques remain instrumental to the destruction of Nigeria.

My position here is standing against fools and arrogant people in government. Mr. Ambode has forgotten that he was a criminal who was sacked from the government. But like all criminals before him, he found his way back to power courtesy of the Tinubu’s grip on Lagos. But he will fall. He will!

The end of festac

Rather than cleaning up Lagos, Mr. Ambode is busy playing god.

Rather than put his wife and house in order so that his wife stops going around seeking recognition and acknowledgment, Mr. Ambode decided to terminate the appointment of the chaplain.

In my opinion, Mr. Ambode is not only foolish, he is also arrogant. Who does he think he is?  The god of Lagos? Those who are close to him should tell him that he is on his way to perdition.

Even if you want to relieve the chaplain of his position because he was employed by the state government, why not give him 7 days or even 1 month so he can put his life in order while he leaves the employment of the criminal government?

I am sure several Nigerians have thrashed this issue on the social media, so l won’t flog it.

Mr. Ambode, what goes round, comes round.

A Distant President? No, Thanks..!

It is no longer news that president Buhari is incapable of discharging his functions as the number one citizen of Nigeria.

Mr. Buhari will now be leading the largest black nation on earth from his bedroom, toilet or the other room depending on where the information meets him.

A Distant President? No, Thanks..!

Since the advent of the computer age, it has been possible for students or candidates to study from home. Distance learning allows room especially for people who want to work and study at the same time. It also helps some people to study while on various forms of leave from work including parental leave. The benefits of distance learning are many.

Nigeria is adding a new dimension to what can be done at a distance. The president, Mr. Buhari will now be leading the largest black nation on earth from his bedroom, toilet or the other room depending on where the information meets him.

This is an example of arrogance by the clueless ruling party, the APC. It’s pure nonsense.

It is no longer news that president Buhari is incapable of discharging his functions as the number one citizen of Nigeria. It is common knowledge that he is now behind the scene. It is also very unclear who has been calling the shots since he-Mr. Buhari stopped appearing for duties.

As it stands, it is no longer golden that Nigerians are silent and not unanimous on this issue. Since the arrival of Buhari from his treatment at a London hospital, Nigeria had finally come to a halt in terms of formal presidential duties.

The fact the people are not outraged is of huge concern. They have been so battered they cannot even conduct a thorough thinking-that the APC is evil and serving their selfish interests just like the clueless PDP before it. What will it take to see that it’s just the politicians changing sides while the game (oppressing and subduing the people)  is the same?

It will be a pure guess-work if anyone outside of the walls of the presidency can say that they know who has been in charge of Nigeria since Buhari went mute. Invariably that chant about the cabal continues to rent the air across all regimes whether headed by a civilian or a tyrant.

Let us be clear about the facts. President Buhari is an old man. He is seriously sick. Sickness is not only a function of age. Anything that destabilises the normal functioning of the human body can bring about sickness and in severe situations, death. Of all the things that are natural, death is the only one that is guaranteed. Young and old people can be sick and in the absence of a sound mind no reasonable work can be done.

Healthy people have found it impossible to rule Nigeria to the path of development. Whilst they were healthy they spent their time on promoting corruption and supervising the rape on the land and people. How much harder will it be for a man who is very sick and of unsound mind?

The APC perspective of ruling Nigeria is a complete suicide mission. I’m lost for words on what they think about the rest of us. The APC is the new axis of evil in the land.

Ruling Nigeria from Abuja has been shown to be a disaster. It will never work. The situation is laughable and ridiculous when sickness is the keyword even as the entire country begs for revampment and resuscitation.

In line with the facts that mortals can be sick or become redundant due to illnesses, it is now imperative for president Buhari to take a bow and take a rest. In my opinion, it seems that the man is being held hostage. For, I find it hard to believe that an incapable person will hold on tight to the office of the president of Nigeria. Of what use is such a do-or-die motive?

In my opinion:

  • Buhari can no longer discharge his duties as the president of Nigeria
  • Buhari is no longer in a stable condition-he is not strong enough to withstand the rigours of the office of the first citizen of Nigeria.
  • Silence is no longer golden. People must not out of fear refuse to speak out against a remarkable evil deed like the one being perpetrated now by the APC or some invisible forces using Mr. Buhari as their guinea pig or scape goat.

For several months, all that we have read concerning Buhari are attributed to releases by various special assistants. The latest was atrributed to Lai Mohammed stating that Buhari will now work from home.

The undertones are clear and undeniable. It may not be out of place that people are deciding for Mr. Buhari. There is no proof that he had said anything in a very, very long time.

What is the way forward?

If Mr. Buhari is of sound mind, if he is healthy, he has to prove  that he is not been flung up and down or here and there by the parasites and leeches around him. The only way to do this is to admit his incapablities and retire home permanently. He should hand over officially to Yemi Osinbajo so that we can wish him well as he continues to fight for his good health and stability of mind and soul.

If Mr. Buhari does not do the needed handover or if the people around him cannot facilitate this before it is too late, then it means for real that there is no presidency in Nigeria. What we have in that case is the well-acclaimed cabal who continues to capture and ruin Nigeria from one generation to another.

The transfer of power does not solve Nigeria’s problems. The only thing it will ensure is that we do not add one more problem that will distract us further from the gigantic problems that the country is already facing.

Nigeria Under Buhari and APC, A Nightmare

20151101_155430-3

Adeola Aderounmu

I hope my readers are not disappointed yet that my regular column on NVS is not regular nowadays. I have seen that some people are re-sharing some of my past post. They are old but very relevant because Nigeria is not heading in the right direction.

In recent weeks, we have been puffed with news of monies discovered and recovered from all possible places including an apartment in Ikoyi and some burial grounds. What has the ears not heard in Nigeria? Wetin our eyes never see? We don hear wein, we don see yeye wey dey smell.

In all, the criminals like Saraki and all the thieves in the National Assembly and house of reps remain in power. Criminals are still ruling and the people are doing mumu and follow follow.

Mr. Buhari is hanging on to power at all cost, whoever his advisers are. The sane thing to do is to let Prof Osinbajo do the job for now.

Rather, somehow, some people are still using Buhari to plant Northerners in all the key positions in government. I hate to acknowledge that Buhari is operating a very useless and senseless government. Only a fool will support his recent appointments and the way he has been rolling around prayer grounds surrounded by criminals like Saraki.

This APC government that we supported is a huge joke. It has gradually transformed to the PDP that we threw away.

At no other time is it more important for Nigerians to rise up and take control of their lives than now.

What is going on with the government and even with the EFCC is a huge joke. It is either someone is acting a drama or insanity is overstretched when you think of the monies that were said/alleged to have been recovered from the apartment in Ikoyi.

Maybe the building should be burnt down if the landlords do not know the tenants in the room.

In any case, the most urgent need now is to let Nigerians know who is running the country because this auto pilot is risky and dangerous.
