The New PDP in Old Skin

By Adeola Aderounmu

If there is something that Nigeria does not need now, it is the so called splitting of the PDP resulting in the re-emergence of corrupt and useless politicians.

When Obsanjo third term bid was botched it was Atiku Abubakar who spear-headed the rofo-rofo fight. It was a “good” fight because he send Obasanjo packing using his might and that of the senate. Despite all the funds that Obasanjo wasted on the senate he was unsuccessful in his bid to change or manipulate the constitution to suit his evil third term agenda.

Even Ribadu could not save the day despite all the witch-hunting that he led with the EFCC. Nigeria is never short of useless people and thoughtless politicians.

As Atiku battled Obasanjo, Obasanjo fought back by exposing all the monies that Atiku has also looted. Everyday in the newspaper we read about the shady deals of both Obasanjo and Atiku.

They provided evidence and counter evidence of how they both looted Nigeria.Yet both men were never arrested. They were never tried for their criminal acts and for looting the Nigerian treasury. So in short Nigeria is a country where rulers can loot, expose their loots and still walk free. What a useless country!

Hence when a man like Atiku decides that it is time to divide the PDP because Jonathan is becoming full of himself and acting like a dictator, people must know that while that may be necessary for the PDP, it is the last thing that a useless country like Nigeria needs. Nigerians don’t need the re-cycling of corrupt people.

Atiku is desperate to become the president at whatever cost. So, like one popular Nigerian writer puts it, the politicians we have in Nigeria will not solve Nigeria’s problem.

Politics for them is not about serving the people or rendering selfless services. All they aim at is their pocket, their ego and their mad urge for riches. All they want is to loot and deceive the people.

I don’t feel anything by the recent split. Instead it goes to show the claim by one APC chieftain that Jonathan is a kindergarten president. Indeed, he is.

The day after the fatal splitting of PDP, he brought Obasanjo to Aso Rock. Obasanjo is around 80+ years and he is the solution for Jonathan. These people are crazy.

So Obasanjo will help him to either defeat Atiku or beg Atiku? I don’t understand which of these 2 functions that brought one corrupt former ruler against his corrupt deputy. Both of them plus Jonathan should be sent to kirikiri assuming we have a functioning judiciary that is independent of the executives.
Nigeria is no ordinary country. The politicians are insane and the populace is disconnected. The geographical area called Nigeria is occupied by people with very short memories. The region is dominated by a people or a collection of nation that do not learn from their past. This race forgets its history and live in the moment only.

Else what should happen in Nigeria should supercede both the Arab spring and the Ukrainian revolution. No matter the political party that rules in Nigeria, the situation can only get worse. The system of government is bad and obsolete.

The institutions are not working. Security is at its lowest ebb. Schools are decayed. Roads are the worst in the world. There is no electricity in Nigeria. Water availability is a mirage. Manufacturing is zeroing and everything has fallen apart. Injustice is rife and impunity reigns.

Hence a new or factional political group is far from the need of Nigerians.

The useless government today should have summoned the courage to initiate political changes that will bring about true federalism. The people should be given voices that will help them to determine their mode of existence and the type of life that they want to lead.

What the present useless government has done is to promote corruption to a new height. This government is probably more corrupt than any other government ever seen in Nigeria. There is no known plan or direction. The man and woman at the top have made themselves into lord and almighty, taking what they want, as they want it and how they want it. Madness at its peak!

But history is full of details that show that freedom is not given. It must be won. Nigerians are like modern slaves, even many will not acknowledge it. The fear in the minds of the people have not allowed them to revolt and take what is theirs.

The greed that has been sown in people have confused their ideologies. Everybody thinks that their time to plunder Nigeria directly and indirectly will come.

It pains to see the futility of life in Nigeria. Life has no meaning to millions of people down there. Everything must be fought for, even water and electricity. Everyday must be lived as if it is a war situation. It is sad and it hurts when a few idiots loot, merry and carry on as if everything is alright.

One day, one hopes that the people hit the war and fight back.

Criminals Ruling Nigeria, the most corrupt country in the world

By Adeola Aderounmu

The audience in the video are fools. They should have thrown stones and shoes at this criminal and start criminal prosecution as soon as he is bumdeled out of the hall.

But in Nigeria, the people have been so brain washed and brain damaged that they probably thought what he said is normal and heroic.

Criminal who rules Akwa Ibom

Criminal who rules Akwa Ibom

Nigeria in my candid opinion remains the most corrupt country in the world. That is a view I am not ready to shy or walk away from.

I read a piece recently that perfectly buttress my points over the years.

Even the ruler of Nigeria confirmed this the other week when he forgave or granted a pardon to his brother in crime. The bottom line is that they are all criminals.

The end to corruption in Nigeria is not in sight. As we write or speak illegal oil bunkering continues and the legal revenue earned by Nigeria is already been shared into private accounts directly and indirectly.

This man here boasted having rigged elections in his home state. By now he should been arrested by the police. But in Nigeria criminals who portray themselves as politicians are above the law. On top of that the Nigerian police, just like NEPA is one of the several useless public institutions in Nigeria.

Brothers in Crime: Goodluck Jonathan and Diepreye Alamiyeseigha

By Adeola Aderounmu

What would make the ruler of Nigeria pardons a criminal and an ex-convict? The answer can lie in the fact that they are birds of the same feather. In Nigeria criminals are in power and the world knows it.

Jonathan, Nigeria's ruler pardons brother in crime

Jonathan, Nigeria’s ruler pardons brother in crime

Nigerians know it and they think it is fine and like I always write, they assume that we will all become looters once we are in power. This anomalous mentality will be hard to erode under the insane system of governance in Nigeria.

In my book, The Entrapment of a Nation, I wrote about the monies looted by Alams. He is a pure criminal and as the governor of Bayelsa State, he looted and stole so much that it took the British government to put him on trial. He jumped bail in the UK disguising himself as a woman. He is a thief who has no shame.

In Nigeria, the more you steal the less likely you’ll be probed or prosecuted. Nigerian politicians are criminals and the judiciary is a mockery of the law system.

The police is simply a disgrace to say the least.

So you have a ruler named Jonathan who woke up one morning, gradually finding himself a lonely man, and decided to pardon a criminal because he’s probably thinking of his survival strategies for the 2015 elections.

This is 2013 and two years after his selection into power, this man remains a complete embarrassment to the black race.

Alamiyeseigha became a woman to flee UK

Yet he finds himself able enough to start en early survival strategy for 2015. His former partner in crime came to mind and he thought the pardon would be a joker. It could be. In Nigeria madmen are in power and they don’t care a dime about your points of view or sane opinion. For them all that counts is how much they steal and how rich they get.

These people don’t know the meaning of life. They have no idea about the values and virtues of the human existence. For them life is about acquisition of material possession and monetary and wealth. That would be fine if it is done legitimately and it would be a matter of the choice they make.

But when the acquisition is from public funds and from a commonwealth such that over 100m people live below poverty level and several other millions living desperately daily unsure of the next meal, then it beat common sense how Nigerians reason.

That Nigerians have not revolted and violently overthrown the government is an aberration and I am as guilty as the next person. I am not even in Nigeria, how can I influence the change that I want down there?

But perhaps there are more subtle ways to change the government and the order of things. What about vigorous campaigns to decentralize power so that as a man from western Nigeria, I can influence how things are done in my region and how we manage our resources in western Nigeria? That for me is a better option to a violent overthrown of the useless democracy in Nigeria.

More than ever before my anger is towards the removal of the Jonathan government so that he does not stay one day longer in the office he has so enjoyed to ridicule. This man has shown that he is a criminal and that is why he can pardon his partner in crime. People should not forget that while Diepreye Alamiyeseigha was looting, Jonathan was doing the same as the deputy governor and later as the governor.

Is anyone surprised why the Niger Delta remained underdeveloped? Niger Delta is probably the richest zone in African but some of the world’s poorest people live there. These brothers in crime: Goodluck Jonathan, Alamiyeseigha and James Ibori are parts of the problems.

So the end is not in sight for the deliverance of the Niger Delta. For as long as their rulers and representatives remain criminals, the people will continue to suffer. This sad scenario is true for the entire region called Nigeria.

The country sits largely on different types of minerals and resources and has an overflowing abundance of human resources to tally, but waste and recklessness are the orders of the day. Nigeria is like a global waste in itself.

When criminals, looters and those who destroyed Nigeria enjoy pardon and make merry at the expense of 150m people then all hope is lost!

Hypotheses Surrounding The Deaths And Diabolism in Aso Rock, Nigeria

I have a strong feeling that wouldn’t go away so I am “forced” to write about it. These are my hypotheses.

I think there is a covenant with some blood sucking gods or ritualists that human blood would be shed to keep the powers that be in Aso rock in Abuja on a smooth sail. This can be interpreted in several ways.

Since Babangida arrived in Aso rock, there has been some “necessary” bloodshed within the ruling family and a sacrificial onslaught on Nigerians.
Babangida has been in the killing business for a long time. As a soldier he may find it necessary to plan coups, execute his enemies and do whatever it takes including sending a letter bomb to an editor in 1986. He could have even killed an entire generation of Nigeria’s Naval entourage in the ill flight that ended in the mangrove of Ejigbo in Lagos.

I would not be surprised if he sacrificed his wife since the days he was in Aso rock only for the woman to depart this world later in a country far away from Nigeria. Who knows if blood pact is what keeps you in power against all odds in Aso rock even when the indications are rife that you run a corrupt government that should be overthrown by nothing less than a violent revolution. Who knows?

Who knows why Nigeria remains a single country when all indications are that the different regions will fare better as separate entities? What forces are keeping Nigeria together with over 100 million people living in penury and extreme poverty while the ruling class remains untouchable and merry-ing daily with billions of dollars?

How can we tell that Obasanjo did not sacrifice his wife? Afterall he also killed an entire community in Bayelsa State. Are these parts of the family and national sacrifices that must be made to keep power at all cost? These hypotheses may sound illogical but they definitely fall in line with a known pattern since the days of ruling from Aso rock.

It is easy to argue that people have been killed in Nigeria since 1959’s violent elections. But the pattern since the arrival of the corrupt Nigeria government in Aso Rock is different and resoundingly similar: kill a family member and kill as many as possible within the country! It sounds like the blood of the dead keeps the wheel of corruption and impunity rolling and then the perpetrators remain above the law. Therein lies the diabolism that reigns in Aso rock.

For all the crimes they committed, Babangida and Obasanjo have not been prosecuted. It seems they will never be prosecuted in their life time because they made the sacrifices-family and Nigerians!

Enter Yar Adua. He had been sick for some time and made it through as the governor of Katsina State. Something tells me he could have made it through the first 4 years of his presidency. But of course a humble man he was in some respect and he decided to take the bow himself. He probably thought Nigerians would let his wife rule as planned (or not). Before his departure he did something similar to Obasanjo by wiping a community in the Niger Delta. These men always made the National sacrifices to keep the blood flowing, to wheel corruption and impunity. My hypotheses continue…

I can make a very strong insinuation that Goodluck Jonathan gave his brother in place of his wife who celebrated her return from hospital with an alleged sum of N500 million. Nigerian rulers are insane.

Goodluck’s brother walked into Aso rock but he was carried out a corpse. Goodluck could not give his wife I assume. But something must be paid to remain in “bloody” power. Maybe I am wrong with my hypotheses. They just would not go away.

But in Nigeria, for the love of power, for the love of money, anything is possible.

Maybe I have been thinking too much, I don’t know. But these things ran in my head at the same time. I had to let them out.

In Nigeria, autopsies are rare. It would have been nice to find out exactly what killed Goodluck’s brother. Was Jonathan’s brother sicker than Jonathan’s wife who said she’d been dead for 7 days and her tummy opened 9 times? Her revelations came after all the stupid lies from her husband and the useless presidential spokespersons. We will never know. In Nigeria, secrets and corruptions go hand in hand.

When Jonathan’s brother died, Mrs. Jonathan was wearing gold. Now they have spent over N500m after this burial, they called it their own thanksgiving.

On the Nigerian fronts, it took a long time before Goodluck Jonathan saw anything wrong with the Boko Haram killings. For him, that is the blood needed to run the wheel of corruption and keep the impunity in his government intact.

Even after the intervention processes, blood is shed daily in Nigeria in line with failure of government and negligence.
So whichever way you look at it, my hypotheses follow a pattern that are arguable but definite.

I could have articulated this essay better. I could have added details, dates and all that but I’ll leave it and move on. I’m just blogging.

Nigeria’s wasteful president

Adeola Aderounmu

The other day Goodluck Jonathan met the press and exposed a great deal about his ignorance. When responding to question relating to government spending Mr. Jonathan had to state that he eats twice a day.

That sort of response alone shows that Nigerians have been taking a ride on a sinking ship, and it’s been more than 50 years in the ship. What a tragedy.

The man even went on to state that he didn’t promise to eradicate poverty but to increase wealth. That’s like the dumbest comment any president has made since Berlusconi said he preferred to have sex with a 17 year old rather than be gay.

The money that has been stolen in the Nigerian government since 1960 is now estimated to be uncountable. No one knows the exact value. It could be a value enough to eradicate global poverty, not poverty in Nigeria alone.
Nigerians are resilient.

Otherwise you cannot imagine that despite the waste, another 5 Trillion Naira got missing under Jonathan.

Add that to the money this guy and his crew are stealing daily.

The proportion of corruption in Nigeria is inestimable. I don’t think any country should be placed close to Nigeria in terms of known corruption. Unknown corruption is another parameter with varying global implications.
Nigeria’s corruption is known, open and wicked in proportion.
