PRAY FOR AFRIKA

PRAY FOR AFRIKA

This morning I shared a status on my Whatsapp and I know some people would be mad at me. My prayer for Afrika was not the same as what they expected and surely not the same as their gangster pastors would suggest.

My prayer for Afrika was that Afrika should wake up from her slumber. I prayed that Afrika would rule the world again the same way she did before she was captured, tamed and subdued by different imperialists.

That is my prayer for Afrika and it ended with Ase

NB: I need to blog more, so some of my posts are going to be short and brief. I have some other articles that are pending, they may be longer.

Brief and short blogs will allow me to respond more to situations in Nigeria and Africa. It will keep me closer to YOU!

Quote of the day

THE PURPOSE OF YOUR LIFE IS NOT TO BE BETTER THAN YOUR FRIENDS OR NEIGHBOURS.

FIND HAPPINESS AND SPREAD IT

BOOKS ARE GOOD. BUT YOU CANNOT LEARN EVERYTHING FROM BOOKS ONLY. THE YORUBA TRADITION EMPHASIZED THE IMPORTANCE OF “ORI” -THE HEAD. YOUR ORI IS TO ASSIST YOU, GIVING YOU KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM TO FORGE NEW PATHS AND TO THINK IN NEW WAYS.

Nigeria at 50: Two Wasted Generations!

Looking for a story about Nigeria´s 60th anniversary, let me refer you to the failures l wrote about 10 years ago. There is nothing new about Nigeria. Nigeria is the greatest tragedy the world is denying since the end of the second world war.

This post should now read: Nigeria at 53, third generation on the wasteline!

Goodluck Jonathan and his crew are further driving this country into everlasting perdition.

Nigerian politicians are still looting and stealing the country blind.

Impunity is at a record high, executive recklessness unabated, corruption without equal on a global scale, militants are lords and terrorists are on the loose. They just murdered more than 50 students in their sleep.

Lawlessness abounds and the animal kingdom syndrome persists.

Nigeria is on the expressway to hell.

Original article from 2010 below:

One of the major inexplicable factors that continue to keep Nigeria in the doldrums is the myopic tendency of the general population including surprisingly the literate sector. Suddenly we kept quiet despite the fact that we know that (USD110) N17b earmarked for Nigeria’s 50th anniversary celebration is not only ostentatious but also wicked, malicious, ill-timed…

Illiterate sacks professors? Only in a useless country!

By Adeola Aderounmu

Have you seen the headlines? Buhari has no education and 3 times he forged a secondary school certificates and /or results.

There is chaos at the University of Lagos. To be fair, there is chaos everywhere in Nigeria. Our people have lost it, Nigeria is a jungle and every man a law unto himself/herself.

A constitution that allows idiots and illiterates to be president, a constitution that allows illiterates to rule over professors and intellectuals is a stupid, useless and reckless constitution.

Nigeria is not a country. I cannot write everything about the Unilag crises or Nigeria’s problems in this essay. It is what l have done in the last 20 years of my life.

Several millions of Nigerians will live and die without the experience of the true meaning of life. They were born and raised in that disorganised jungle, it is all they know. The rest they see on tv when they have the luxury of electricity.

Let this sink in, Buhari has no education but he can sack professors. Think and use your brain, perhaps for once, is that possible anywhere else?

We know the truth, yet we are not free. We chose this life of slavery.

Nigeria must be dismantled. The politicians must be arrested and made to cough every N1 they have stolen or taken illegally. The regions or nations entrapped within Nigeria must emerged.

Social justice and freedom must prevail in the new regions. Churches and mosques reduced to the barest minimum or those making money from religion to pay task. Pastors and imams should have paid employments.

There are a million action plans for the regions or nations within Nigeria. If they start today, the generation that would emerged 100 years from today would be grateful.

Black people must think about the future and make all the necessary sacrifices for social justice and freedom.
