A Questionable Democracy

A Questionable Democracy

Adeola Aderounmu

What kind of democracy gives the presidency to a convicted felon, a criminal?

When a convicted felon, a criminal is sworn in as president in a democracy, then democracy should be placed under the spotlight and questioned.

There is every reason to discuss about the consequences of the type of democracy that the US is displaying to the world. It’s hypocritical. Put rightly, it is a like a dictatorship mimicking democracy, or a democratic face painted on tyranny. It is a dangerous experiment.

What kind of government, what kind of democracy gives the opportunity for a criminal to become president?

What kind of law system makes a person to be above the law. Prisons across the US are filled with convicted felons, citizens who have been found guilty of one crime or the other, and dully serving time for their crimes. Fair enough. But Trump as a free man in the US, even becoming president means that not all animals are equal, and some animals are more equal that some others.

A democracy that placed a criminal in the position to make laws, to amend laws and to dispense laws, in my opinion, is not better than any form of dictatorship. I would find it hard to state the benefits of a criminal making laws in a supposedly democratic dispensation. I would find it difficult to place the value of a criminal-president in a pseudo-democracy above a tyrant in a non-democracy. I can’t come to terms with the possibility to accepting the conducts and leadership of a criminal-president in a civil society.

I started writing this article before trump was sworn in and I was already going to suggest that Trump could close all the prisons in the US and send all fellow criminals’ home. I was not shocked by the executive orders to send home more than 1 700 criminals few hours after he returned to the White House. Nothing trump had done in a few days or nothing he would do in 4 years would shock me. Tyrants don’t send shock, they radiate the characteristics of tyrants.

Nowadays I have so much to do that my articles are late and not covering the depths of my thoughts. But I must put them down anyway just to make sure that I wrote my views.

We are in the early days of Trump administration. So, the only thing to do now is to fasten our seat belts and be prepared for one of the bumpiest rides in world history. Every day will unfold with drama, with threats and with vows to reverse the world order. Denmark should probably start preparing to go to war if she must keep Greenland.

A few years ago, in my first article about trump, I wrote to the American people that MAY THE WIND BE THEIR WAY.

Now I am writing to the rest of us. Under a Trump rule as a convicted felon, may the wind be our way.

Na-Kutsa: A Village By The Kidnapper’s Den

Na-Kutsa: A Village By The Kidnapper’s Den

Adeola Aderounmu (A view From The Scandinavian)

There are many stories of families waiting for their loved ones across Nigeria. After a certain period of waiting, the expectations of seeing them alive again drop and the worst is assumed.

Just imagine boarding a cab along the road because the car park was devoid of regular taxi services and being abducted by criminals who transported you to a place close to Na-Kutsa village in Zaria. This was what happened to innocent people regularly in Zaria, Kaduna State. It would continue to happen until the den of kidnappers, or the villagers in Na-Kutsa are shaken. No village should harbor murderers and kidnappers, as a way of life.

I recommend that you read the sad experience of Baraka Abdulkarim as narrated to the Punch Newspaper. She was kidnapped by notorious cab operators and handed over to kidnappers. The first 2 weeks in December 2024 was a real trip to hell for Baraka and other passengers who thought they had boarded a regular cab. A woman who had 6 children on the trip saw two of her children shot to dead because they walked slowly through the forest.

Baraka Abdulkarim

Baraka Abdulkarim

For 2 weeks, Baraka and the others defecated on their bodies. They pissed on themselves and were rarely fed as the kidnappers waited for ransoms from the victims’ families. During the period of her captivity, Baraka, according to the Punch Newspaper underwenrt her menstrual cycle bleeding all over her body and the blood drying up on her. The mess can only be imagined!

The person or persons who deliver ransoms are usually held back, killed or re-cycled for the next ransom. In some places in Northern Nigeria, like the Na-Kutsa village in Kaduna, kidnappers are well-known, and the profession is a way of life, a means to easy wealth.

I am writing about this, not just because it happened in Kaduna, because this could have been a sad occurrence anywhere in Nigeria. But I am writing about it because the village is known, and the den of kidnappers is also probably known. It is shocking that the notorious cab driver(s) are out there waiting for their next set of victims.

The cooperation between cab drivers and the kidnappers is a very profitable evil business. It rakes in millions daily. We know about Baraka and the others kidnaped along with her because she was released after the ransom was paid. Sadly, the person who delivered her ransom was held.

We don’t know about thousands of other missing kidnapped people. Many of them are killed like goats and left to rotten in the forests. There are many stories of families waiting for their loved ones across Nigeria. After a certain waiting period, the expectations drop, and the worst is assumed.

Kidnapping is a profitable business in some parts of Nigeria. Sometimes, it can occur at some random locations if you, your friends, of family members run out of luck. It’s like a gamble sometimes if you are safe or not.

My expectation is a police investigation into the notorious hideouts of the kidnappers which is either in or around Na-kutsa village. It is not a rocket science to find the village, to find the kidnappers and to apprehend the kidnappers. In my books of investigations, this is supposed to be a very easy raid and conquests of the criminals.

Unless the authorities are accomplices, or the intelligence gathering around the Na-Kutsa village is compromised, I don’t see any reason why the cab drivers and the kidnappers should not be apprehended this January 2025.

One worrisome aspect of the Punch report was that the kidnappers have young wives who could be as young as 12 years old. I am sorry for them. I am sorry for that part of the world where children are raped in the names of early marriages. I am sad to be associated with these types of MOFOS. There is nothing in this world that will stop me from longing for freedom.

This is my view from The Scandinavian. The rest, you know!

My Generation Also Wasted Away

Living in denial does not obscure the realities of our lives, how miserable this country Nigeria has become.

My Generation Also Wasted Away

By Adeola Aderounmu

That my generation also wasted away is one thing I have come to accept. I never saw it coming (especially when I was a little boy, full of hopes and dreams of what I thought the future would be and what I would make of it).

Now, rather than shape our days and prepare our children for the future, the people I grew up with are fighting tooth and nails to ”vote”. That people are fighting to vote rather than fighting for freedom is a big disappointment. My generation has also come to symbolize emptiness, vanity and hopelessness.

To understand my essays, you have to brush aside your personal achievements or the achievements of some of the people in my (or your) generation. You must have a holistic mind of viewing the whole picture. If you tell me about people that made it in the rat race, then we should look at 200 million others who are members of the community of the poverty capital of the world.

The useless government of Nigeria made a decision to shut down universities so that election can hold in Nigeria. In 2023? I cannot find all the words to empty my frustrations and sadness in the few lines you read here.

That kind of decision is not only stupid and senseless, but also extremely irritating. It’s the kind of decision that make you rate the mental capacities of rulers of Africa very low. To make such a decision means that there is absence of minimum-level brain activities in such adults, a sort of mental retardation, so so speak.

For everyday that passes, for every hour that we wait or waste and hope on stupid Nigerian elections, the day of glory for the unborn generation shifts forward significantly. It is a very, very sad situation.

Again, this is 2023. In several countries around the world, elections are done so effortlessly that you would not even see a paper blown off the table. Personally, I have participated in several elections that allowed me to cast my vote even before the election day. No sweat, no stress, no labour. Just a walk in and a walk out after ticking some boxes. And we are all humans? So, how do we think in Nigeria?

Nigeria will never get to that point where sensible elections will be done, even 1 million years from now because Nigeria is a country founded on British fraud. Nigeria is a business enterprise created for the pleasure of the British. Nigeria is never going to be able to organize and prosper as a country.

The country is so disorganized and stressful that it is probably the worst place in the world today to be born or live. Do you think that the electoral commission in Nigeria can send people’s voting cards or registration numbers to their homes by post? The answer is NO!

There is a price, a cost for freedom but what commonsense can accomplish is priceless. Freedom for the nations entrapped in Nigeria represent the last hope for the unborn generations.

The voting papers or cards will surely disappear in transit and those that will arrive would be distorted and manipulated. The level of criminality and dishonesty in Nigeria is way out of this planet. It is in all facets and aspects of life. I posted some copies of my latest books to Nigeria in February 2022. One year later, they have not arrived the destination to which they were sent. Thieves everywhere! The books I posted to other countries in the world arrived safely.

Do you see what is going on with money change and new currency in Nigeria? That is another story for another day. If not for madness and mental retardation of Buhari and Emefiele, I do not know what else in the world that would qualify 2 idiots who changed old currencies to new currencies that were not printed. Just imagine the suffering and how people are dropping dead or going mad by taking off their clothes in banking halls and other places like the gas stations.

Let me tell you something. There are no solutions to Nigeria’s problems for as long as the people think that elections are the solutions. We have been on this trail even before the 1959 elections, if we draw our attention to just the year before the scam called independence. Personally, as a long-standing blogger, a consistent one for that matter, I have maintained that Nigeria has no business with elections.

In the time past, I thought that if we organize the system and become normal people, that we could arrange something acceptable and sensible. But now, Nigeria does not even have a reason to remain a country, so conducting elections make no sense. In the face of the reality of the diverse nationalities that cannot have a common goal, I have come to terms that something that did not work for more than 100 years will never work. It must take madness to think that Nigeria will work.

It pierced my heart, and virtually I bleed, for I do not understand why anybody that has brain cells would want to vote in or for Nigeria. Why? I have been convinced before 2011 that Nigeria will never make it through elections. Was it about 10 years ago that I wrote ”Why God will not save Nigeria”? In many ways, I have been spot-on. I will only repeat here that 20 years from now, Nigeria will be worse than it is today if the country is still in existence.

We need clarity in our minds and in our heads (brains), that even after the disintegration of Nigeria, the various nations entrapped within it would need between 50 to 100 years to normalize, make progress and establish permanent prosperity for their citizens and unborn generations.

So even if Nigeria disintegrates today, my generation remain wasted. There is no more cure for my generations. It is over. We are just waiting to grow old and die. Living in denial does not obscure the reality of our lives. But there is hope for our children and children’s children if we get back our entrapped nations today. Then we can start the journey to rebuild, the journey to reinstate and the journey to repair what was truncated by amalgamation of people with different destinies, cultures, traditions and ideologies. Nigeria is a volatile, destructive mix.

For every day that passes, for every hour that we wait and hope on stupid Nigerian elections, the day of glory for the unborn generations shifts forward. It is a very, very sad situation.

In my opinion, this fraud called Nigeria is the only country in the world that did not make progress since the 1960s. I cannot point out one country in the world that was prosperous in the 1950s where the people are living in extreme poverty in 2023. While it got better for others, Nigeria became the dustbin of the world. The elites in Fraudgeria have made a mess of existence for the masses.

It is amazing how I have written about the same thing since 2002. I mean I have given more than 2 decades of my life writing the same thing, week in, week out. Me, I salute myself. I could have looked the other way when I left Bongo in 2002 but I saw it as a call to remind myself and the people who care to listen what we missed out and how we can rescue the future for the unborn generations.

My generation has a few years left to get something right. Imagine if we convert the years of our lives that are left to days or even weeks, perhaps it may open our eyes to the essence of life and how life should be ”live” and ”let’s live”. Life is transient. Our days are soon gone, and we have so far failed to justify our existences on this planet. It’s a huge shame to all creatures on the geographical space named Nigger-Area by the gangster colonialists.

Any generation of Yoruba that want to enjoy their existence and purpose in life on the land that their ancestors left behind for them must fight early and take back control of their lives. My generation has failed and is wasted. My parents died living on hopes that Nigeria will be better. My grandparents did the same. I refused to go to my grave thinking Nigeria will make it under a senseless unitary system.

Voting, participating or getting involved in Nigerian elections means that you have no sense of history and you are very selfish. You are actively destroying the unborn generations. Your legacy is a scam. In 4 years’ time, you will still be worse off and still be voting, senselessly!

No matter what happens, no matter how it goes, these words I write will be golden because the nations entrapped in Nigeria will remain the key to a happy life, a fulfilled existence and permanent prosperity for the slaves living in present day Nigeria, when they become free. The nations entrapped in Nigeria represent the last hope for the unborn generations.

There is a price for freedom but what commonsense can accomplish is priceless.

Yet Another Generation Wasting Away

Yet Another Generation Wasting Away

By Adeola Aderounmu

I cannot keep this any longer. On so many WhatsApp group where I belong, I see chats where my mates and people that I know are arguing about Atiku, Obi and Tinubu. These people that my mates and distant friends are arguing about are 3 of the several criminals who have stolen monies or looted monies in different capacities while pretending to be serving a state or the federal government.

For more than 2 decades, one of the cruxes of my essays have been “not settling for one evil over the other”. But still, someone will ask me, who do you support then?  Stupid! It’s the electorates…!

It is just a combination of collective amnesia and collective deformed mental capacity that would make more than 100 million people to stupidly and aggressively pursue the sustenance of the British colony that enslaved their grandparents, their parents and them. Whose responsibility is it to break the chain of colonialism and slavery? Whose?

For so many years now, Biafra wanted to be an independent country. For some years now, The Yoruba country that was prosperous before the invasion of the colonial thugs have been trying to regroup to re-establish herself. The Middle-Belt and the Niger Delta have also tried without success to disentangle themselves from the strings of colonialism and now Fulanization.

If there is something worth dying for today, it is for the re-establishment of the civilizations that were destroyed by the invaders from Europe and the Arab world. But my friends, my classmates and my distant friends think that it is not their responsibility to prepare a free country for their children to inherit. They have not sat down for once to think about the possibility of the prosperous lives that our grandchildren and future generations can enjoy when we are gone.

Their silly mind is about today and now. They campaign for criminals in APC, PDP and the so called Labour Party. More than 100 million people are working hard to sustain colonization, slavery and intense terrorism that have wiped away many lives already.

In 2022 “Nigeria”, there should not even be anything called APC or PDP. Almost all the politicians in these political organizations are criminals. So, if there was proper law and order in the first place, all of them should be in prison cooling off. But they are all over the place because the entire population became zombies.

Take a look also at the propaganda machines they set in place. You see criminals like Femi-Fani Kayode, Festus Keyamo and Reno Omokri jumping up and down like rats jumping over glue. In a normal country that we can build for ourselves in Biafra, Yoruba Country, Arewa, Nigerl Delta and the Middle Belt, all these criminals will be locked behind bars forever so that civilization that move forward.

For more than 60 years, Nigeria-the failed entity put together by British thugs-continue to produce different sets of criminals and the people stupidly think that things will be better. Today, that country Nigeria is probably the worst place to be born or live in the whole world.

There is nothing I am going to write today that I did not write 20 years ago when I wrote Why Politicians Steal.

But it pains me, it hurt me that as my generation approaches its prime and soon exit, we have wasted yet another generation.

I do hope that some brave people in a certain generation will arise and free themselves and generations unborn from the slave camp called Nigeria. I will keep the hope alive for as long as a I live.

Nigeria 2023: The Unthinkable

As 2023 approaches, it appears millions of people in the enclave/British invention called Nigeria are or have resigned to fate that elections will be conducted in Nigeria in 2023. For me personally, a Nigeria in existence in 2023 is unthinkable.

In Nigeria, massacre of innocent citizens under the APC government is a routine phenomenon. It happens daily

Since 2015, terror and massive extermination of people have escalated across the length and breadth of terrorist governed Nigeria. The failed country (Nigeria) is probably the worst country to be born or live under the present/prevailing circumstances. You have a situation where terrorists fondly called bandits by the APC government can come to your house, drag you out on the streets and kill you. If they wish, they will kidnap you and ask for ransom usually in several millions.

Life has no value in Nigeria. It is under this type of condition that some unreasonable people are discussing elections

If you want to be updated on the events, massacre, genocide, assassinations, murders, political killings, kidnap of young school children and many other unspeakable vices going on in Nigeria every minute of the day, subscribe to google alert or follow all the major newspapers in Nigeria via twitter. Against the backdrop of all the permanent evils and extreme terrorism that have ravaged the failed country, it is therefore unthinkable for me to imagine a national election in the country.

The agitations to split the country so that Yoruba Nation and Biafra Nation can emerge are still ongoing and the issue lie on the table of the United Nations. Personally, after more than 20 years of writing about Nigeria, I have no more suggestions to give to Nigeria. The politicians are criminals. The people they serve are encouraging their crimes which has not put a big burden on our agitation to end the terrorist-governed country. I have spoken to a number of people recently and their spirits have grown cold. The shock is that Yoruba and igbo people in diaspora are fighting tooth and nails to end Nigeria so that prosperity and freedom can come to their people in terror-governed Nigeria.

Nigeria has some of the worst human right abuse in the world. The security agents arrest and kill people randomly, daily

Sadly, the people in Nigeria are the worst prepared when we talk about freedom. They are quick to cite “not wanting to die or be arrested”. But everyday thousands of people die in accidents, through assassinations, murders and so on. Several hundreds go missing everyday through kidnap and other inexplicable reasons. A handful end up in ritual slaughtering. Yet they don’t want to die. Really?

The politicians are spending billions daily to cajole, bribe, entice and brain wash the citizens. They have been doing so since 1959, in between several years of military rule as well. How can the people be so stupid to accept the thought of ever conducting any more election in that terror-governed country called Nigeria? Generation after generation keep repeating the same blunder, falling for money and temporary pleasures.

Malami, a notorious Nigerian politician. This man looted, keeps looting and even kept Ibori’s refunded loots as a private possession. Nigeria is a lawless failed country. This is a “lawyer” who has no idea of the law!

True, Nigeria, if it had worked could have been the best country to live in the world. But that illusion that Nigeria is going to work ought to have been discarded. Only a useless person will keep doing the same thing for more than 50 years and expect a different outcome.

Right now, Nigeria is even beyond writing about or documenting the atrocities of each politician in Nigeria. Inf Nigeria was China, or North Korea, no politician will be alive today as they would have been hanged to death. They are criminals, whether APC or PDP is not even the point.

Pantami, Nigeria’s Minister of Communication is a terrorist who called for the killings of innocent people. He supported the genocide of non-muslim. He is still in office. A terrorist and a minister. Unthinkable!

So, how can anyone think of conducting election or participating in elections of criminals and fraudsters, again in 2023?

The man refered to as Buhari and another criminal called Tinubu. They both are regular out-patients in London hospital. What more qualifies Nigeria as a failed country than 2 foremost citizens attending hospitals in London. Between them, these men have stolen several uncountable billions of dollars.

It is UNTHINKABLE. I make bold to say we need to visit the question of intellectualism of the human race again. We need to know what is wrong with the brain of the black people in Nigeria. I am sorry I have to take this position, but there is something fundamentally wrong!
