The Dangers Of Hypocrisy

I am still looking for those who resigned and blew the whsitle when Jonathan and his crew (both in PDP and APC) were looting the treasuries. I am now looking for those who are going to leave the Buhari government and blow the whistle (both in the APC and PDP) as a result of the budget padding and scandalous national/state security situation. Mr. Buhari himself should have resigned along with Lai Mohammed for misleading the world when they stated at the end of december 2015 that they had defeated Boko Haram.

There are no limits to the repercussions of hypocrisy. It is worse when the hypocrisy runs parallel with lies and propaganda. Two other dimensions that can worsen the situation is the spread and the acceptance of hypocrisy as a trait or norm within a political structure or among the people of a country.

As you read this essay the banks in Switzerland are still sending more and more of the monies stolen by one famous Nigerian criminal called Sani Abacha. He was unfortunately a former dictator in Nigeria whose death remains a subject of controversy.

Despite the fact that his loots are finding their ways back to Nigeria (since the regime of Obasanjo), Nigeria’s current president Mr. Buhari is yet to acknowledge that Abacha was in fact a criminal. This hypocrisy is dangerous and heart wrenching. This singular denial also shocks me when people say Buhari is not corrupt. I don’t understand how people don’t see the links.

Invariably the act of being a hypocrite extends to hangers-on of political associations. It cut across and destroys the consciences of both the enlightened and the disenfranchised as well as the educated and the ignorant. If Nigeria finally implodes, hypocrisy will not be left out as one of the diseases that sunk her.

If you listen keenly to Femi Adeshina you will find an example of a person who lost his mind and threw away his conscience to the lagoon all in the name of having a job and earning a mega pay. There were (before him) people like Reuben Abati, Reno Omokri and Segun Adeniyi. With him is a guy called Ogunlesi who thinks the rest of us are ordinary lower animals.

In my exposure to other countries where several of these spokesmen have also lived or visited before relocating to Aso rock, there is always a limit or threshold to how long an aide can defend a boss or get enveloped in the same cycle of ignobility.

What happens to the ability to resign or walk away to save one’s good image? Invariably my conclusion is simple: it takes a rogue to defend a rogue in matters of public accountability. It also takes selfishness and wickedness to turn blind eyes to the realities on ground in the daily existences of Nigerians.

Like l mentioned above, the realm of hypocrisy in Nigeria is massive. Therefore it is unforgiving that even professor Osinbajo lately said APC is not a corrupt government. But he is fully aware that APC integrated into its fold former PDP looters and existing APC looters. Their common saving grace is the unforgiving failure of the justice system in Nigeria. I always maintain that Nigerian laws remain useless as far as criminal politicians continue to rule Nigeria.

Osinbajo also said that APC is more honest than PDP. Since when did accountability to the people become a relative term? APC is confused. When the spree of murders and genocide escalated under this regime, APC stated that more people died during Jonathan’s PDP regime. My understanding of that conclusion is that the Nigerian life is worthless. Why else would number of deaths be comparative?

Late afromusic king Fela warned us many years ago about all those that do bad things in the names of their religious lords. We did not listen. We are still not paying attention.

Today l am neither for the APC nor for the PDP. I will go for a new orientation. It is about time people understood my stance nearly 12 years into this act of blogging. I stand for good government only. My inherent hatred for corruption and lack of independent reasoning have no bounds and it has no connection to religious or non-religious morality.

By a manner of another perspective and changing lanes, when next you read a criticism of the Buhari government from Reno Omokri, help me ask him where he was when Mrs. Jonathan and Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke where emptying the Nigerian treasury under the watchful eyes of Jonathan. Of course he would call it propaganda.

It is the same way everything was propaganda in the eyes of Segun Adeniyi of the Yar Adua regime. Now all you read here is propaganda for Mr. Adeshina. Wait for him to be out of the corridor of power. We saw Reuben Abati out, in and out again.

My take on some hypocrites is that they actually have their criminal minds before participating in all these serial governments of looters. How many more hypocrites and pretenders are going to emerge in 2019 if we don’t break this cycle of national madness?

I don’t even appreciate the headlines from people like Ngozi Iweala. Anyone that has been part of the governments in Nigeria and under whose watch or in whose presence massive looting had taken place is a bloody hypocrite.

Mr. Donald Trump it appeared had no balls afterall. A straight talk would be to inform Mr. Buhari of his primary duty as the president of Nigeria. Buhari has failed and he is still failing to protect Nigerians. He, as well as the looters in the Nigerian senate, is failing to see the need for the immediate restructuring of Nigeria and the introduction of state police.

The hogwash in the White House led to increase in attacks in Nigeria. The long term consequences of the dangers poised by national and international hypocrisy and the passiveness of the drained Nigerian people are yet to be evaluated. But the signs are already very, very bad.

I can understand to some extent the feeling of party affiliation. What l cannot understand is the lack of will to stand with the truth. But l know many people are predictable in their love for money, power and position. Many people always discard the essence of public service because they want to remain relevant in the (dis)order of things in Nigeria.

These people look forward to recognition, gains and consolidations when the ocassion arises. So they cannot give up their hypocritic garments for honourary ones.

And since this is the way things work in Nigeria, the country dips deeper in national crises. We argue unnecesssrily on issues of common sense and we are a country left behind. We are sick. We need healing.

If a few good men and women are given the task of redirecting Nigeria back to the place where we were in december 1965, and if these men and women are honest and have no spirit of hypocrisy, if they are not concerned about getting rich or owning mansions in Dubai, America or London, or sending their children to schools in Ghana or USA, in less than 8 years (2 terms) Nigeria will be back again as one of the best places to live in the world. The people must be orientated about the dangers of hypocrisy and they must be ready to stand with these few good people. That is the hope of Nigeria and Nigerians.

I don’t Get It. Why Launch Boreholes and Bus Terminals?

I always need sometime to reset my brain when Nigerian politicians and their acts come in between my flow of normalcy. Some people are launching boreholes, the senate lauched a sugestion box and now Lagos state just launched a bus terminal (plus Eko Atalantic scam for the second time). Something is wrong with these people and their heads (are incomplete).

I don’t know where to place the rating of the politicians we have in Nigeria.

Why are we launching bus stops or terminals? Why are we launching boreholes? Why are we commissioning roads or opening roads?

Sometimes l’m gazing for several minutes and trying to let my brain do the thinking. If l was in a gathering, someone nearby would need to snap a finger to bring me back in. If l was at a dining table, someone else would ask, when are you going to start eating? I always need  sometime to reset my brain when Nigerian politicians and their acts come in between my flow.

I’d lived away from Nigeria since 2002 and over the years l’d watched my host city grow in so many ways. The other day the new underground metro was opened. It was an underground metro built under an already existing underground metro. It was completed and the trains were running.

Everyday near my local government, there are construction works going on. Houses are springing up. Environmentally friendly schools are emerging. Road networks are expanding and various roudabouts are constructed along the way to ease the flow of traffic or to minimise accidents (the targets still being zero accident annually).

As soon as a project is completed, people start to use the facility and new ones are upcoming. The government through the politicians and other stakeholders have the obligations to continue to build and maintain various facilities and infrastructure. There are no doubts that the government must peform. It is a rare occurence in developed countries for something to be declared opened or started with wastage of public funds. It does occur but it is not the norm.

Nigerian politicians think that they have done the people a favour by completing a project. It’s an insane impression to say the least. In the eyes of the world, it is an abberation left to people of low mentalities. What is the job of a public servant if not to serve the people like a servant? What is the job of a governor if not to ensure that facilities are in place and that infrastruture are up and running.

So, you build a bus stop and you think it is a big achievement probably because you think it is the most beautiful bustop in Nigeria. We are in trouble in Nigeria. Little wonder the standard of living is low and the cost of it is in the sky. Misplaced priorities.

No matter how fanciful or dirty a bus stop is, there should be no glory attached to it. Did anybody force Mr. Ambode to become the governor of Lagos State? The most ridiculous part of the exercise is that even Mr. Buhari left all the security challenges in Nigeria to attend to opening a bus terminal. This is the (ridiculous) height of (mis) governance in Nigeria and this is why some outsiders think that Nigerians are slaves even in their own country.

Furthermore, there is no reason under the sun to truncate normal working hours and other people’s businesses even if Mr. Buhari wants to come a see a new busstop for the first time in his life. It was a shameful package.

These types of things should never be allowed. How l wished the people of Lagos had gone out in their millions on that day instead of complying with a useless directive from the governor. Imagine if over 15 million people decided to ignore a useless directive of workfree day! Imagine how we could have changed the course of history!

This is what the civil society owes itself. To stand against all forms of tyranny either from military men or civilians who think they are warlords. Nonsense and ingredients!

This act of launching irrelevant things is too common in Nigeria. The people are gullible. How many people remember that the Nigerian Senate launched a suggestion box in the senate? One picture went round the world showing Nigerian politicians lauching a borehole. Billions of naira are earmarked annually in Nigeria to launch roads that soon vanish, bridges that soon collapse, schools that never emerge, hospitals that we never see. Several more billions disappear on the pages of budget proposals. What a country!

I don’t know if this will be the last insult from the APC led government in Lagos on us. But l hope it is because l am so not looking forward to the APC or the PDP in the 2019 elections. I am already saddened knowing that Nigerians never learn how to kick out corrupt and bad governments. No revolt is even in sight against these massively corrupt and shameless criminals in power.

My Festac Grievance!

I am sure the rivers of faeces running on my streets in Festac Town are still running because Buhari’s FHA thinks it is the job of Ambode’s APC and Ambode’s APC thinks it is the job of the local government chairman who probably never takes a tour of the council. The local government chairman will also push it to the ward councillor. The cycle of idiocy will continue and the people will be tired and start to pray.

In the end it is the people who continue to suffer the rising epidemic in Festac. More deaths will occur due to water borne diseases and sanitory problems. I pity the residents of 402 road and other places in festac. They are living in bondage. In 2019, some of these residents will campaign for Ambode and APC. What is the meaning of slavery again? Both APC and PDP should be discarded! They are both criminal organisations.

In 2020, we should be blaming others (or new people) for our problems and woes, not the same old people we have known since 1999. Only fools and idiots will go to the polling stations in 2019 and be casting their votes for APC and PDP. Both parties are reminders of den of criminals and total failure of governance.

Enough is enough, lets try other options and on the long run ensure that we change from the useless unitary government to regional government.

Buhari And The Failed APC Mandate

Mr. Buhari changed the NATIONAL CHARACTER to the NORTHERN CHARACTER. He has no regards or respect for the other nationalities within Nigeria.

The Nigerian law system, one that makes it impossible to throw criminal politicians into jail during their service years and even after, is a mockery of civilization.

Which Way Nigeria?

 

It is amazing and shocking that Mr. Buhari is considering standing for elections in 2019. There are several reasons why he should not have given that a thought. 

 

It is definitely one aspect of the agenda if the APC as a political party thought that it could still rescue Nigeria and another aspect if the party or Mr. Buhari himself thought that he is still the person to stand for election in 2019.

 

During the home run to the 2015 elections, the frailty of Mr. Buhari was obvious. He hardly spoke or expressed himself. The longest speech he gave was probably in London where he floored the Jonathan administration, promising reforms and changes.

 

In any case soon after his victory at the polls (Jonathan had no chance once key former military rulers and powerbroker-politicians took hold of the electoral machinery) Mr. Buhari headed for a London hospital and spent more days on a sick bed than at the office in Abuja during the first year of his regime. Mr. Buhari continues to be under the watchful eyes of the doctor.

 

All the promises Mr. Buhari made in London prior to the election have gone unfulfilled. He talked about reducing the number of jets in the presidential fleet and a possible revival of the Nigerian Airways. It is not clear if Mr. Buhari’s frailty or the long medical treatment he received in London have any connection to a likely memory lose.

 

One of the factors that have hindered Mr. Buhari, surely, is his health status. However there are other factors that have had even larger consequences. For example, it is clear that the promises that Mr. Buhari and the APC made were clearly lies. All they sought was power, all they got was power.

 

Mr. Buhari has since turned Nigeria to the Federal Republic of Northern Nigeria. Since the re-emergence of Mr. Buhari as the president of Nigeria, he has turned governance of the country to government of the Northerners. Buhari has no regards or respect to the other nationalities in Nigeria. He is more concerned about the welfare of the Northern elites and how the resources from the various parts of the country can be used to sustain the insatiable appetite of the North.

 

A lot of Nigerians working with Mr. Buhari are aware of this and they have surprising kept mute or have been intimidated into ordinary dummies and puppets. Nigerian politicians have a long history of caring about their stomachs and bank accounts than reasoning using common sense to address common issues.

 

It is enough that the federal character system in Nigeria is defective, dysfunctional and retrogressive, Mr. Buhari had taken it to another level making mockery of the entire concept. It is now the Northern character.

 

After 2 years of taking over the reign of governance, the country and the people of Nigeria are going through the worst era of their existence. The APC continues to blame the PDP but the fact is that if you cannot correct a problem, it is imperative that you do not make it worse.

 

Nigeria got worse in 2 years of the APC and it doesn’t appear that there is an end in sight for the destruction that the APC is bringing upon the system. It is obvious that Mr. Buhari has no idea of what he is doing. He has been there before as a military ruler which makes the entire scenario laughable and disgraceful. It’s like repeating a class and still failing. Extreme measures then have to be put in place. 

 

In that sense, the solution means that Mr. Buhari needs to step aside and let us get some brilliant minds on the block. Sadly too, Nigeria has never been lucky to get a good person to lead the country. All the good people and all the sensible people have been boxed out of Nigerian politics and some even out of the country.

 

The political scene in Nigeria is largely populated by criminal minds and people whose interests is solely money making because they can steal and get away with it. The Nigerian law system, one that makes it impossible to throw criminal politicians in jail during their service years and even after, is a mockery of civilization. The country is all but messed up intoto.

 

The solutions to the problems facing Nigeria are beyond the 2019 elections which the politicians are already fighting about now. For them, it is all about the personal gains and selfish interests. They have completely lost sight of what the modern world has to offer or what it demands of them.

 

Nigeria is light years behind her mates in the comity of nations. This is sad because the reverse was the case more than 50 years ago. Nigeria must be rewind to the years when things worked. We need to look at what worked and the mechanisms that supported them.

 

The journey back in time will be rough and it may look almost unassailable with the present crop of thoughtless and heartless politicians and rulers that are spread throughtout the country. Still, it is a journey that must be taken.

 

All the problems of terrorism from Boko Haram, the herdsmen, looting of the economy, unemployment, stale educational system and a disgraceful health system (where the president, and other well placed Nigerians continue to seek health tourism abroad) are all hinged to the wrong political system and bad rulers.

 

It is amazing how Nigeria, the self-acclaimed leader of the African race, has refused to see that when something is not working, you need to discard it and use the one that works. 

 

The Unitary system of government in Nigeria has brought us shame and disgrace, yet we stick to it. It is amazing how we think. It is part of the shame that has resulted to the unstable minds like Trump calling us a shithole country and that we live in huts. There is no smoke without fire. We brought it upon ourselves.

 

The Unitary system is the reason why Libyans turned our people to slaves. The slavery itself started in Nigeria. The way Nigerian politicians loot the treasury and deprived the citizens of the good life is a form of modern slavery in itself.

 

It is violation of human rights of the highest order and no greater form of modern slavery exist than when you take and steal from the people and the people look like zombies, even praising and worshipping you for stealing and looting from their commonwealth. It is slavery when a politician can steal 10 billion dollars where there are people without breakfast or lunch. Dinner is a dilemma.

 

It is slavery when fools, nonentities and complete nuisance are given charge over the people and thereby leading them to perdition and sorrow. There are uncountable situations in Nigeria that are direct consequences of the unitary system of government that have ensured the more than 100 million people are living hopelessly in poverty and penury. 

 

Libya therefore was a child’s play, though equally condemnable.

 

I have for more than 10 years argued that there is no worse form of slavery on earth today than the fact that Nigerians are not liberated. They cannot pursue happiness and they cannot live a life where the state guarantees their education, safety, health and employment.

 

Two years into its mandate, things got worse. It was preferable that still either stay the same or improve. Getting worse was totally unexpected and the APC-Buhari mandate therefore need to step aside.

 

In several essays since 2007 l have argued that Nigeria does not need elections. But we kept conducting them and we kept diving deeper into hopelessness and doldrum. 

 

The country needs to travel back to the time when there was healthy competition for development between the major regions. It was the competition that brought the first tv station in Africa to western Nigeria. It was the competition that made several west Africa countries to send their citizens to Nigeria to study.

 

We had a competition that ensured that royals from around the world came to Nigeria as health tourists. We were world leaders in education, science, medicine and arts. We flourished because we did not have a unitary system of government.

 

It is that time in our history that we must return to. We can keep deceiving ourselves that we don’t need to. The implication is that even after we die, our children and children’s children will inherit the poverty that pervades the land. If we don’t revert now, the people who would be called Nigerians more than 50 years from now will be miserable too and the cycle will persist. If we continue to live for now, the essence of our existences diminishes further.

 

Mr. Buhari should prepare for an exit plan and we don’t need an Obasanjo to know that. They are both parts of our problems. The young people need to rally round and force the implementation of the regional system of government and the separation of powers. They should ensure that all the criminals in Abuja go back to the regions to fight for developmnent at that level. Enough of making money at the regions and sending to the federal for embezzelments. Let the regions develop themselves and this is beyond both the APC and the PDP.

2017: Yet Another Disappointing Year In Naija

The truth is always a bitter pill. For as long as we continue to lie, pretend, play to the gallery, hope and follow blindly that the unitary system of government will get us somewhere, these outcomes (pain, anguish, sorrow and disappointments) to different degrees will remain our common denominators.

We have not declared an official war in Nigeria but we live in a war situation everyday of our lives.

2017: Yet Another Disappointing Year For Naija

This is my evaluation of 2017.

The year 2017 turned out to be a very devastating one for several millions of Nigerians.

The sad chapters in the annals of this (should-have-been-great) country got longer.

This country Nigeria was destined for greatness as a conglomeration of regions but it had since 1966 remained trapped in a unitary system of government that is useless and nonsensical. Subsequently the country was sapped into poverty and penury by the lucky bastards in form of tyrants and criminal politicians who are not keen on reverting the country back to regional system of government.

In recent years l have written a number of ”end of year” messages through my blog posts. For this year and for the previous ones, these posts were written with my heart filled with rage and anger. I am still extremely disappointed in how the country continues to go deeper in hopelessness.

Already in the year 2007, that was 10 years ago, l wrote an article titled Christmas in Hell. The article chronicled my experience in Nigeria in 2006. One december day that year l drove early to a gas station to queue for fuel. It was my turn after about 5-6 hours of wriggling through the queue.

I will never forget the experience because as l waited in the car, l was crying uncontrollably. I cried for Nigeria. I cried for the suffering and devastation in the land. I cried for all the ignorant people and even the knowledgeable people who together were suffering, celebrating and smiling.

A few hours to that agonising experience, I’d flown into Lagos from Sweden where l could drive to a gas station, fill my car with fuel and pay by credit card and drive away in zero time. Then l came to a country flowing with oil and other uncountable natural resources and l had to queue for more than 5 precious hours of my life. I cried until there were no tears left to shed.

These types of experiences which have sadly become recurrent in Nigeria, even since 1977, showed that Nigeria is one of the worst places to live in the world. We have not declared an official war in Nigeria but we live in a war situation everyday of our lives.

In our country Nigeria, the people have completely lost it. There are no common interests for a national agenda and the political restructuring of the system has not been taken seriously so that prosperity and wellness can be in focus. If we restructure Nigeria today,  perhaps 50 years from now the generation of people that would be called Nigerians can be happy and fulfilled.

Unfortunately, the present Nigerian system continues to promote survival of the fittest. The system thrives as if we are in a rat race. The system runs a manual that ensures that people prosper either through some elements of luck or by connections to the largely corrupt and fraudulent elites and politicians. There are rare rewards for excellence and honesty.

The system breeds hatred in the hearts of men and women. The system ensures that there is a struggle between people in such a way that one group of people under the excuse of the slightest provocation would not hesitate to kill or main the other group. It’s still about the survival of the fittest. There are too many examples of people killing one another instead of negotiating and finding a common solutions to problems.

The effects of more nearly 60 years of bad rulership in Nigeria are too numerous to state.

In fact the present government is full of propaganda and cannot see anything wrong with all its failures and shortcomings. It’s that type of government comprising people who do not see beyond their noses. For, ordinary common sense dictates that the bulk always stop at the door of the person who is assumed responsible for the task (done or undone).

Buhari is the Minister of petroleum resources. He is the ruler of Nigeria. Irrespective of his lines of defenses, the shortage of fuel in 2017 means that the government has failed in performing one of his statutory obligations to the citizens of Nigeria.

But Buhari has been here many times before in his life. He was the Minister of Petroleum in 1977 and Nigeria had fuel shortages then. It remains to be seen if this shortage will lead to increase in the price of petrol per liter in Nigeria.

How long can Nigerians continue to tolerate failures and a system of government that seals more than 100m people to a permanent life of poverty and impoverishment? How long will everybody continue to hope and pray that in a system that is malfunctioning, that some divine intervention will be their hope for a happy life?

It’s complete insanity to hope on divine intervention.

Nigeria is not working and drastic measures need to be taken to turn things around. The most evident sign of failure is that one person cannot steer Nigeria. In how many ways do we want some evidence that this is not going to be possible?

Obsanjo failed, Yar Adua failed, Goodluck Jonathan failed and Buhari has already failed. What other signs do we need to know that we must try something else? That we need back regional government.

Just to ensure that l bring this article to an end, my suggestion is for the young people of this country to come together and wrestle their future and the future of their children and unborn grandchildren from the status quo.

You don’t need PDP or APC in 2019. You need to go back to your regions and harness the best brain to move things forward. Nigerian youths need to throw away all their affiliations to PDP and APC. There is no difference between the two parites. The politicians cross party lines annually because of what they will eat and gain. They have no ideologies to bind them. The people can remain slaves in Nigeria for all the politicians care!

 

There is no future with either the APC or the PDP.

With the numerical advantage on the side of the youth, they need to do something and very quickly too.

2018 will come with new opportunities and new challenges, the young people must unite and wrestle this country from the criminals in power across the country!

Atiku Is Not Fit To Rule Nigeria

In 2006/2007 the police (EFCC) and the judiciary had more than enough to pursue the criminal offences of both Obasanjo and Atiku. But nothing happened. These arms of government are totally useless.

If we back track to 2006/2007, that time when Mr. Olusegun Obasanjo was bidding for a third-term and spending billions of naira of taxpayers monies to bribe senators and legislators, we will also remember that the resistance to that bid was headed by his deputy, one Atiku Abubakar.

At that time Mr. Olusegun Obasanjo had turned the EFCC in the hands of Nuhu Ribadu to a tool of witch-hunting instead of the cleansing for which it was intended. So he turned the EFCC on his deputy but it was an incomplete process because no one was arrested or prosecuted. The EFCC published details of the criminal offences of Mr. Atiku and did so almost daily in various newspapers in Nigeria.

In the fight back, MR. Atiku’s media aides did a fine job. They dug deep into the criminal records of Olusegun Obasanjo and also made sure that these criminal records ended up the pages of the newspapers.

So for several months, Nigerians enjoyed a free soap opera.

The two men who were supposed to lead Nigeria were consumed by their quest for power, Obasanjo for the 4th term actually having been a dictator/tyrant in the 1970s.

Atiku won the fight because Olusegun Obasanjo did not get a civilian 3rd term in office. Majority of Nigerians were against the idea because it would disrupt the already dysfunctional constitution-one that had already ensure that majority of Nigerians are poverty stricken even to this date!

The saddest thing, from my perspective, is that when Yar Adua became the president of Nigeria in 2007, Nigerians went to sleep as if nothing had hapened.

The Nigerian Media is a piece of rubbish.

The Nigerian police is the biggest joke in the world.

The Nigerian judiciary, for me, is absolute nonsense and ingredients!

The media needed to pepper the system and the people. It failed, and even now still sleeping!

The police ought to have utilised the documents that were released by both Obasanjo and Atiku because they are hard evidence on each other’s criminalities. They both showed why the other person was a thief.

The Judiciary and the police had more than enough to pursue the criminal offences of both Obasanjo and Atiku. But nothing happened.

Nothing concrete had taken place in Nigeria’s civilian regimes to put criminals and thieves behind bars even in the faces of hard evidence.

Now we hear that Atiku is a top notch for the 2019 elections. He is aiming to become the president of Nigeria.

Nigeria is one of the few countries on earth where known criminals achieve their political ambitions. I don’t need a reply for this article. I don’t need a rejoinder. I am so sick of the Nigerian political system where people try one way or the other to justify why we must coninue to run the political system we have and why every four years we must queue behind a thief.

Once, Obasanjo had boasted that Atiku will never become the president of Nigeria. So far, this remain the case. I don’t know if there is a settlement between them now or if one had gone behind to beg the other.

In Nigeria’s politics, no enemy is permanent. It is the interest (to seek power and to steal from the commonwealth)  that is permanent. That is why today APC government is full of looters and criminals from 1999 and earlier regimes.

As soon as Atiku’s interest came up again, the Nigerian Media owed Nigeria and humanity a re-publication of all the crimes that were made public by Obasanjo’s camp. They need to open the EFCC files and tell him why he needed to first go to court than to try to seek a return to the seat of corruption in Abuja.

They must re-publish those allegations and support them with the documents so that young people can see how Nigerian politicians have stolen their future even before they were born and whilst they were growing up.

People like me cannot prove these crimes, we have our limitations. Those who have access to the criminal files and offences and do not open them to the public and media will never know peace.

It is such duties that the media owed the people: to investigate, to bring back memories that could help to save the children yet unborn from these old scavengers.

For, once a criminal is allowed back to the seat of government, this entire circus will continue and suffering will persist in the land.

Atiku in my records is a criminal, just the same way as his boss  Obasanjo was. They both made this clear in their roforofo fight. So this is not something l made up. They told us themselves!

Nigerians need to thank Obasanjo for his misadventure, his 3rd term quest which we together with Atiku made sure never came to pass. But Obasanjo will deny this 3rd term bid until the end of time. We don’t care because it does not matter anymore. The other pain left from that was the ghana must go bags that went to the sena-thieves and legis-looters.

That Atiku, like 99% of other Nigerian politicians, is a free man is a failure of the Nigerian police, the Nigerian judiciary and the Nigerian law system.

So don’t blame the people who classify the Nigerian police as the worst police in the world. There are so many reasons for that including the zero effect of ensuring that politicians are arrested and prosecuted accordingly.

If there is a report tomorrow classifying Nigeria’s judiciary as the worst in the world, l will sign under it. l will, because as long as criminals can vie for office in Nigeria, then we can as well do away with the police and the judiciary. Why do we have police and lawyers when criminals are what we get in public service?

A lot of people in Nigeria settle for criminals in political offices because of the anomaly that has become the normal thing. That is there are no saints in Nigerian politics and since the law is ineffective in dealing with looters and criminals in government, the people have accepted the situation.

The consequences are huge. Nigeria is withholding one of the most tragic mode of existence for humans. Forget about the flashy lives of the rich and the celebrities! More than 100m Nigerians are poor and live in extreme poverty.

Some Nigerians prefer to go and die as slaves in Libya. That summarises the mode of life in Nigeria!

The people think that saints will never emerge on the political platform. The people have accepted criminals to go and come as they like into government offices. The people are easily carried away by the cash that these criminals spread around mostly every four years.

Some fools will come to the social media to defend crooks and looters in goverment. They will ask you, what options do you have? They will ask you, who do you want to be the president? Stupid thinking, stupid questions, senseles mentalities!

The people of Nigerian unlike the people in Sweden or England do not know that their rights and they think that their lives depend on what the politicians do or not do (largely true) but it should be the other way round. The people, if they are upright and thinking straight, should ask accountability from politicians and fire them within 2 to 3 days if accountability is not given.

That is where the people, the media, the police and the judiciary have let the system down in this unified passiveness.

In Nigeria, people continue to choose between different grades of criminals, they call them politicians because they think they don’t have a choice. Nigerians don’t look inward to promote good people and people who can actually change the system for good.

The other sad thing about Nigeria is that since there is absence of accountability and as a result of almost 60 years of stupid leadership/rulership, the people don’t know what a real government feels like. So, even when a good person is put into government, the system corrupts the person and he or she start to steal or loot.

A friend once told me that if any person in public office does not conform to these criminalities, that the person will be killed or gotten rid off one way or the other.

That is why today, in many government offices, there is sharing of bonuses every Friday or other regular intervals. I mean there is a lot of loose cash in the Nigerian economy that it appears everybody is crazy and corrupt.

In any case, Atiku can continue to exercise his rights for as long as the useless system of government in Nigeria permits him. He is not alone, l always say 99,9% of Nigerian politicians are criminals/looters and it’s so true.

The system of government in Nigeria must change. If we restructure the political landscape and make the president a ceremonial and figure-head position, the corruption and even the urge to become a president will likely disappear. Now everybody wants to become the president or the governor because of the lawlessness in the land  and the useless constitution on which Nigeria runs.

If Nigeria returns to regional government, Atiku will be vying to become a regional leader and l am sure the sharia law will cut off his hands if he is found guilty.

A regional form of government will bring about healthy competition among the various regions in Nigeria and any region lacking behind will ask for the heads of its custodians.

The regional system of government is the most promising option for Nigeria. The other option which is also growing nowadays is the outright dissolution of Nigeria.

One day the people will be pushed to the wall, they will take the laws into their hands too and they will chase the corrupt politicians, catch up with them and send them into exile or out of this world.

Nigerians, the ordinary citizens are hungry, angry, frustrated and see no meaning with life. Again, that is why crazy and lawless Libya is an option. I am sure there are Nigerians in Yemen and Afghanistan looking for ways to survive when we have a state governor who can steal 300 billion naira or more at this very minute and walk free!

The politicians are looting, living large, sending their children around the world, buying houses around the world and doing what they like with taxpayers monies. These crazy ways will stop. These crazy things will come to an end. I don’t know when, but l don’t think Nigeria will continue for another 60 years of criminals ruling and making the people slaves in their homeland and in places like UAE and Libya.

Nigerians must see the 2019 elections as an opportunity for 2 things.

One, push for political changes before the elections so that regions re-emerged no matter the opportunity cost. There is a need to pause this nonsense APC-PDP Dilemma deluxe.

Two, for once in our life time, look for saints, good people and visioners to move the respective regions forward.

If we recycle criminals in 2019, if we recycle those who became rich stealing from us (people who became businessmen/women after looting the treasuries around the country) and if we maintain the currrent system of government, then it is just another cycle of idiocy. Nigeria will remain a country heading nowhere.
