Is anyone following the ongoing stupidity in the lower house? Patricia Etteh has been investigated by a panel and the outcome will be made known and debated in the house. Decisions will follow.
The supporters of Patricia are demanding that Patricia should be the Speaker of the house when the discussion on the outcome of the panel’s investigation commences. Is that not the usual madness I always complain about?
Why the HOUSE is divided on this issue is amazing-are there thieves in the house?
Patricia is on trial in the house and her supporters want her to be the judge!
These crazy and senseless supporters are saying that the HOUSE RULES have not stated that she must step-aside. Egba mi o!
Must everything be written? Where is common sense? Oh, I forgot! Common sense is not common; you have to think to get it.
And how would Patricia have the guts to sit and listen to people discussing about her misdemeanor? Where is honour? Where is dignity?
This is what you get in an illegitimate government. No one knows what is right or wrong! No one knows what shame is: to them, their supporters and their people- shame is a virtue.
Serious BIG problem in this wonderful country-Nigeria.

The stalmate in the House of Representative persist today because issues have become subjected to the kind of narrow perspective contained in your article.
The alleged contract scam in the House cannot be reduced to a matter that is limited to the Honourable Speaker of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
It may be difficult to understanding the workings of the executive system in the House but since the NASS faced the Okadigbo contract saga, the Principal Officers of the NASS ceased to be the executive officers in the award of contracts. That power has been withdrawn.
Instead a committee of Principal Officers acts as an approving body for the Clerk to issue contracts. Failure to adhere to due process is strictly to be found at the doorsteps of the clerk.
Now if the approving body is also found wanting, it is rather curious that the impression being created is that the Speaker should be held solely accountable.
That fact of the matter is that the protagonist are aware of these facts and obviously are rather concealing a power play agenda. And given the fact that the populace in Nija aren’t inclined to indepth debates, it is simply easy to brandish this sum and pin the Speakers name on it.
However the logical train for this argument, if we are to agree on the Speaker’s resignation is that the Clerk, as well as all principal officers who sat along with the Speaker on the approval, must also resign with the Speaker. That i think is where the logic in this matter stands.
Over these issues therefore, it is very supicious that anyone, no matter his excuse for that matter will resort to treason in order to obtain a resignation from the seat of the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives. Because that is what the attempt to use force to prevent the Speaker’s procession to her seat in the Chambers amounts to. If the request that is being made of the Speaker is ‘resignation’ then it is clearly undemocratic to see physical force being applied to the request. This is simply being done on account of the fact that an underlying power play is actually what drives the protagonist.
But all democrats must see that treason is being brought to bear on the issue.
